I totally agree, although it does not seem to effect the European game....

I wonder if the trapezoid style of lane would help?

it would clear lanes at the expense of the post game.

Why did Yao only take 7 shots? Other than that his stat is about the same as TD

is it just me or did anybody else notice that charlie ward picks up his dribble a lot and then doesn't know what to do with it.

overall, tonight's game was horrible shooting wise. Our team couldn't hit anything, although we got plenty of open looks

great game by boki though, didn't go out of the offensive flow, and he looked confident. I hope this is the boki we'll see from now on, a productive solid player.

Well Yao left for the middle of the 1st and most of the second due to the Hyperextended elbow so he wasn't on the floor much.

But in the 30 minutes that he did play they didn't give him a chance to shoot. They converged on him pretty quick and they were content in giving us the outside look.

Yao only had 3 TO by the Yahoo boxscore. I thought he had a lot more from the chatroom.

This team continue to look lost offensively when they play a good defensively team.

    My recap

The biggest difference in the game: Rox just couldn't get their shots to fall, while the Spurs did. Both teams played good defense, both got open shots. We just missed 'em, while they didn't.

T-Man had a poor shooting night. He took the right shots at the right times, but just couldn't get 'em to fall.

Yao was mugged all night again, but (like last year) the NBA just lets teams get away with it. He hyper-extended his elbow early in the game, but came back later.

    Nobody shot well.

And I agree with ima_drummer2k as I have since the beginning: the legal zone just makes sloppy, low-scoring games.

why is T-Mac taking 23 shots (and only making 6 of them), and yao only getting 7 shots (making 5 of them, > 70% shooting)

T-Mac really thinks he's the one and only man on the team.

The Spurs shot almost as poorly as the Rox did. And we shot much better from 3-land. The difference in the game? Spurs went to the line 28 times while the Rox got 9 ft attempts.

We missed lot of shots. I was disappointed with T-Mac in the 2nd half but Juwan Howard should have picked up. He had problems with Duncan which hurt us from the start of the game.

...because Spurs' offense looked more methodical. And ROX was forcing shots and went isolation.

when was the last time SF3 took as many shots as Tmac did in this game? And why did Yao only get 7 shots off?

You forgot to mention the Spurs sent out the second team to play with ROX's first team. And we didn't have an edge.
