ClutchFans Game Thread: Warriors @ Rockets 5/4/2025 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 7)

It would be nice to get a 2nd March Green game this series.

 

If Jalen can get 2 easy layups and 1 three to go in his first 2 shots, he should be playing better offensive thru out the game

 

True maturity on Green's part would be to be aggressive and force the Warriors to foul him or give up an uncontested, easy layup (or a pass to an uncontested teammate for a 3 or a dunk). It's a fine line: please, no TOs, and don't try so hard to avoid contact.

 

I guess man. Curry and Lebron been bullying the NBA for the past decade. At the end of the day Harden is one of the best players to ever play and he wore a Rocket jersey and will retire a Rocket. That is a benefit to the franchise and in time everyone will appreciate the run he had here and hating on him like this will just be seen as unnecessary.

The only Rockets players to have won championship were on Hakeem's teams, it doesn't mean we should endlessly deride every other great player that's come through here. Like at the end of the day, his jersey is getting put up and retired. He went up against a Warriors team that ran through the entire league outside of Lebron...

Then did this organization a favor by leaving the way he did, I don't get why people are mad at him wanting to chase rings. Him sticking around on mediocre teams would have done nothing at all for us. Instead he asked out, got us a treasure chest of assets, and still has love for the franchise AND city.

Time to move on from this hate. Curry/Lebron era is over. Let's hope now begins the Amen Thompson era...

 

He need not only to attack the basket but stop with the scoops and layups. When I say attack, both his hands need to be touching the rim or a foul called.

Sadly, I have no hope left for that young man. It may be better if we just bench him, maybe keep him in if he maintains the D on Curry from last game, but outside of that?..

 

GS is the virtually unanimous choice of the "sports world." That is insulting. I want this one so bad I can taste it.

The Sports World has watched the corrupt NBA for a long time. They are just going with the odds.

 

That's pretty big for the Warriors. He is a key part of their perimeter defence.

Maybe they play Kuminga in his minutes? If not, Maybe the door opened a crack for Jalen to show up???

 

It's game 7. He's playing. Just got to hope he's limited like Podz was in game 2.

The confidence and poise so many of my fellow Rockets fans in this thread have right now is truly admirable.
I wish I could see the evidence of the last three games and add up the trends, the physical differences between the teams and the momentum and see what you do.
I just recall the last 10 years of the Warriors stepping up. I think of Curry obliterating our team over and over again.
I just cannot get there. I hope I am wrong.
