Yes, I was one of many who warned him. No, sadly I don't know Andy Polley, though I'm a fan.

 

Like he has a good show once a week if we are lucky sometimes. I mean the other day i heard 45 minutes of him talking about Dibbles wedding and how they wanted to do this and that.

Last time i checked it was a sports radio show and the world series is going on. There are a bunch of stories going on around sports and not one of them were talked about. Then out of the blue today he actually has a decent show talking with Lassorda, Ozzie smith and George Brett.

Just sucks when they go off on these tangents and never talk about sports. It gets annoying really.

 

DP is better than Rome, which is not saying much. And Matt Jackson would be better if he would drop the Rome-like attitude.

As for callers, I like them except when they ask "How' s it going" etc at the beginning of a call.

National guys are usually clueless about Houston sports tems [edit - or teams even ], so I don't find them that interesting. I did prefer Sporting News Radio over ESPN.

Locally, I like Lance, songs of Chance (though not games of chance), and Charlie. Guess that covers most things.

Yup, Colin sucks. The only time he's interesting is when he's talking about football, and sometimes not even then. His voice is way too whiney, and his cohorts are just terrible.

I miss the Tony show terribly.

Some people are acting as if Dan is off the air nationally - it's only for Houston radio, isnt it.

 

Better than what? A kindergartener could come up with more insightful questions than DP.

Rome does awesome, insightful, thought provoking and intellectual interviews. It's the crap he spews in between that makes his show annoying.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

 

What! Those are not words I would ever associate with Rome.

And again, I don't like Patrick, but "Romey" is just Abu Ghraib bad.

yeah..there's very little Poison or Ratt in my office. i left those in my junior high locker.

 

I thought I was the only one who did this, I can't stand the guy at all. Of course I've also been getting annoyed lately with the morning crew on my way to work because all they talk about is college football and seem to have people related to college football on there every morning now. The worst thing is that my cd player is broke and you know in the morning there's rarely any music on period. I don't which is worse, the college football stuff or Dan Patrick......hmmm, ok not much is worse than Dan Patrick, but I do hate the college football talk. Maybe now that The Rockets season is starting up the subject will begin to shift.
