The roster needs to be improved. The coaching on offense needs to be improved. These two can both be true. No need to dichotomize into either or.
LOL, what a ridiculous thread. Ime is already a top 5 coach in this league. He has the Warriors out there seeing ghosts. I hope he stays the coach here for a long, long time.
He played Jabari and expanded his rotation. He also minimized Jalen. So yes if he does that and helps the team win idc it doesn’t change the earlier games being miscoachwd
Ime is still a bad coach. There have been 3 games with a strict 8 man rotation, and 3 games he had a 9th rotation player. We won all of the games with the expanded rotation, we lost all of the games with the strict 8 man rotation.....and there's no way of knowing what he plans to do for game 7. The outcome of this series does not change the fact that Ime is a REALLY bad coach when it comes to rotations, offense, and putting together lineups.
Guy does series about how the coaches make offensive and defensive adjustments. Watch it before you go blasting Udoka from your couch
What’s your typical thought process when you curate all of your terrible takes? How do you come up with things like… “Ime is a bad coach” ?
If you watched the team and saw the absurd lineups and rotations and came away with a different take, you should probably pick a different sport to follow. Ime is great when it comes to vibes, defense, yelling at the players during halftime, and throwing his players under the bus after games... but he's terrible when it comes to offense and all aspects of player management.
Only a genius of a coach could come up with the zone that Udoka did last night (perfection in the 2nd half). They set in a standard 2-3 zone until GSW got in the set. As soon as they got in action (pass, screen etc.), we've switched to man to man coverage, while simultaneously defending the spots, with Steven Adams being 2 steps away from the basket so he can contest anyone that comes in/through. You really gotta be a pure hater to say that Udoka is a bad coach. The only facet that he's lacking in is offense and thats easily fixed with an assistant. He's the best coach in the league right now and will have championshipS on his resume.
You know nothing about basketball. Not too many coaches can turn a team into a contender within 2 years with the roster he inherited.
Ime has been fine. Only thing I wouldn’t mind to see is maybe Jeff green / holiday in spurts for minutes. They seem to knock down open shots with ease.
