He must have drank from the fountain of youth because he is way more mobile especially since the start of the year.
I believe the Rockets didnt even get in the free throw penalty before pulling Adams game 4. Thats what I was upset with. At least get into the penalty first before pulling, soften their D up with foul caution
If he was ever able to develop a 3 ball like Brook Lopez he would 100% be a near max level player. He has a stupidly high impact on games given all his seeming limitations. Just a brilliant mind for the game.
The hack a Stevo is just not that effect against the rockets because our offense is not that great. It actually takes some of the pressure off of the team to manufacture offense and it puts pressure on their team to play through more fouls. It's also sort of an admission of weakness. Like, we can't contain this guy on the glass so we need to go to great lengths to try to force him out of the game. It kinda gives the team more confidence that the lineup is a problem. Don't worry they will move the goal post on Stone. The natural evolution on his transactions is first it's the player sucks or is washed, then the player is ok but it was a bad trade, then it becomes a good trade I "just wish we would have used 1 less pick (or gained 1 more pick)". The last one is one of those arguments you can always fall back on and never be wrong because theoretically, sure, 1 less pick out is better. I'm sure we could have used our 2025 56th pick in some other way.
Victor Oladipo and 3 2nd Rnd Picks for Steven Adams is a fleecing but now we gotta pay the behemoth. I love that he was selected with what was originally our pick. Makes him more one of the core. 2013 - 12th Pick - Steven Adams 2021 - 2nd Pick - Jalen Green 2021 - 16th Pick - Alperen Sengun 2022 - 3rd Pick - Jabari Smith Jr. 2022 - 17th Pick - Tari Eason 2023 - 4th Pick - Amen Thompson 2023 - 20th Pick - Cam Whitmore 2024 - 3rd Pick - Reed Sheppard 2025 - 9th Pick - Kon Knueppel 2025 - 23rd Pick - Rasheer Fleming (Trade)
He was great tonight, and honestly, all series. He plays so smart, you have to watch him to see how deep his impact goes. I especially liked that steal he had on their back door action in the 4th. Just a great bbiq play. Hat off, Aquaman!
The Warriors just don't have an answer for this guy it's like watching an adult play with a bunch of middle schoolers down low
The Rockets always seem to acquire quality backup bigs Larry Smith - The original small ball 5 Charles Jones Dalembert Mutombo Marcus Camby Nene And now Steven Adams is added to the collection
Stevo’s arguably the most impactful bench player in the NBA. His presence alone on the court unlocks both Fred and Sengun, which is more than enough, not to mention his HoF offensive rebounding. He’s also a great locker room presence. Extend him IMMEDIATELY.
