Sounds like the Lakers are getting Giannis for an 8th round pick and a couple of tickets to the next MCU flop.

Burdening our young core with the thought that they might be shipped to Milwaukee on the day of the biggest game of their lives is low-key despicable ngl.

Who is burdening any of them? You think they are hanging out here or listening to the talking heads on TV a few hours before the game. Really stupid take.

I don't think the front office did any such thing, this is just Windbag doing Windbag things

It's not even TV bro. Nobody under 30 watches TV anymore. This is all over Twitter and either those guys are on Twitter or some of their close friends are and are blowing their phones up. I'm not saying it's gonna distract all of them but some of the more impressionable ones might have it on the back of their minds. Like if they don't play well today, they'd be a prime candidate to be shipped for Giannis.

ESPN is a total joke and Winbag is the jokiest of them all. He has no inside info.

If we move up to the top 4 in the draft I would not trade that pick for Giannis.

This. I don't think people realize how expensive he would be to acquire. We would have to sell the farm and it would likely be a disaster in 2-3 years time when he's 33-34 years old and not the same player anymore, and we don't have young talent or draft picks to build up the team. This is a no from me. Let BKN or some other team sell their future for him. Or let him rot away in Milwaukee.

This ain't Nico Harrison. We're not stealing Giannis from Milwaukee. The Bucks would require that pick + 2 or 3 more FRP's + Sengun + Jalen Green and/or Jabari Smith Jr or something along those lines. It would take a King's ransom to land a top-3 player in his prime who is a two-way monster. It's not worth it.

That's the price in a true, open-market bidding war, probably. If the bidding is limited to a few teams it may be less.

Only real chance is if he makes it real hard for them and is like "I want to be in New York, LA, or Houston". We can outbid the Knicks, Lakers, Clippers easily, they have no young players at the level of Sengun to be the centerpiece of the trade, and almost no tradeable draft picks.

He did have insider info at one point - he was the Lebron insider because he had been covering him since he was a kid. They used him to control leaked media narrative from Lebron's camp - that's how he got into ESPN in the first place...until he burned bridges with Lebron's camp and reported things they didn't want him reporting on. Now I think he is just there because he knows where the bodies are buried so to speak. He knows what was fake and what was hidden from getting out(probably about Lebron) so he gets to write his own checks at ESPN and say whatever in the hell he wants until the people involved who could be damaged by his information are no longer threatened by the info Windy might have....then he will be gone.

    The Thunder traded for Shai.

Granted, he wasn't a superstar at the time and was very young so this isn't apples to apples....BUT....pretty much every championship team makes a significant trade or Free Agent addition...even if at the time they didn't know exactly how good that addition would be...Kind of like us with Harden.

At some point, the odds just say that the Rockets will need to come off of some of these assets to reach the next level.

That's where I'm at too. I just don't see any way to do it where they don't strip us dry, he's too huge a star.

ESPN only talks about their favorites and they stir up thing for clicks and to make conversations out of speculation.

Helps to have Shai, neither Sengun nor Green will ever be a Shai.
