So if the rockets move up in the lottery (which would only happen if they get a top 4 pick, or maybe a trade up), then Windhorse is saying that the Rockets will trade a top 4 pick in this year's draft (which may very well be Cooper Flagg or Dylan Harper) + some combination of current core players and draft picks for Giannis?!?!

If there ever is a trade for Giannis with this year's pick, it's because the pick didn't move up in the lottery...

 

Thunder had a top 5 player in SGA. We don't have one.

 

I don't think they'll let him go for anything less than a total dismantling of our team. If I'm wrong, I'd love to have him. But I'm not trying to give them half our team when I think we're pretty close right now and we can get there with a combination of slight upgrades and internal growth from our young guys.

 

It's fun to have a good team, but I'm afraid of getting caught up in the hype. We have so many more shots in the draft to get a star with the Suns and Mavs picks and still maintain a 50-win quality team. Unless the perfect star trade comes along, I'd be hesitant to give up all of our assets for them. Giannis is a beast but I could see us in a similar situation as the Bucks if we pay full price for Giannis.
