I'm ashamed of you guys! In this BBS of all places, no one has yet to mention Archie Bell and the Drells "Tighten Up" ?

Don McLean had 'Vincent (Starry, Starry night)' among other minor songs - e.g. Dreidel.

FYI, Huey Lewis sued Ray Parker because he claimed that Ghost Busters was a rip off of 'I want a New Drug'. The suit was resolved in Lewis favor.

    I can't pick just one:

    Tainted Love - Soft Cell
Der Kommissar - After the Fire
    Rock Me Amadeus - Falco
    Tarzan Boy - Baltimora
99 Luftballoons (German version only!) - Nena

Also, I like one of Behad's in Cars by Gary Numan.

I think this thread is too confusing. Maybe some of the artists and bands mentioned here only had one hit in the US but they had good careers in the UK and Europe.

Steven Tyler always liked "somebody I used to know." He said you could just put it on a loop and play it over and over. I have to agree. It's gets at the heart of something.
