Man, I don't know if NBC has been training Kobe Bryant on how to imitate Jordan, or if Bryant's just been going over videotape of all Jordan's old interviews.

Ahmad: Kobe, how did you guys do it?

Bryant: Well, it's a challenge. You need to have a challenge. Anytime we can get a challenge like this....it's just a challenge.

Ahmad: You guys really seemed to keep your cool out there.

Bryant: Exactly, we enjoy the challenge. We have to challenge ourselves. Anytime someone challenges us, we just have to take that challenge.

Ahmad: See you in Game 4.

Bryant: Definitely. We look forward to the challenge.

It's not enough that he imitates Jordan's running style and little leg kick and fall back on his shots, he's got to talk like him as well.

Shaq-fool apparently learned a new phrase as well for this series, the ever-popular "A-Game". "You know, tonight we brought our 'A-Game'. It's tough to beat us when we bring our 'A-Game', and tonight we brought our 'A-Game'. Last game, we didn't bring our 'A-Game' but tonight, we brought our 'A-Game'. We're tough to beat when we bring our 'A-Game'. We just have to make sure we bring our 'A-Game' every night."

I'm still stunned that he didn't make the all-interview team.

You know, this is exactly the same thing I've been thinking about for the past few months. The only reason I never mentioned it was I thought I was just imagining things. Everything from Kobe's moves to his interviews are sounding more and more like he's mimicking Jordan. Hell, he's trying to do the same turnaround, fadeaway jumpshots, he walks with the same swagger on the court. He always gives the same bland responses with an intelligent voice but with no substance behind them. LOL! Woo... I'm glad somebody else noticed this. [IMG]

this is the most annoying thing about Kobe...he's tryin' too hard to be like Mike... and i hate how Bob & Doug a.k.a Beavis & Butthead make every shot that Kobe makes seem like it was the greatest thing ever... yeesh!!! [IMG]

    Kobe makes a free-throw:
Doug Collins- "Bob, that was AMAZING!!!" [IMG]

Kobe does try to imitate M.J. in everthing he does, that it's sickening to watch!! Last year when L.A. played Golden State, M.J. was there at the game, It was hilarious to see Kobe look M.J's way every time he made a shot, (I GUESS TO SEE IF HE WAS WATCHING!!)to the point that the commentators made comment on it!!! I guess it's alright to have a role model, but damn he's even got the gum chewing down, this guy is RIDICULOUS!! I'm glad more people are starting to realize this....
In my book, Kobe will always be about KOBE!!!
