I don't know the specifics behind why he left...I know it had something to do with the Rockets and the playoffs...I'd just like to see him return. His offbeat humor and love of Weird Al made the guy fun to have around. So let this be a shout out to A-Train...come back dude. Eat crow, apologize, do whatever it takes. You're going to miss an interesting Rockets season.
pffffffft A-Train was sooooooooo overrated. I've been listening to m_cable since back in 03 when he wasn't mainstream and now everyone is into him and Im all like OMG I was an m_cable junkie before all j00. LOL INTERNETS>>>>>
Don't think it hasn't crossed my mind. It'd be a brilliant move. We're all so in love with vaio's affected silliness that we fail to see that it could really only be a masterful ploy.
Come back, A-Train. You don't have to use the same name or admit to being your old self. In the case that you're already back (possible), post more often!
Or irritated to all hell by it. Sometimes I wish I could get one of those old school 4 finger rings that says Webster's on it and backhand the shiyat outta him like a pimp having a hoedjucation class.
Isabel...completely off-topic, but aren't you an R.E.M. fan? If so, check out the new one. Best CD of their's in over a decade. I've been meaning to tell you this once I saw you post. Oh, and I like Weird Al. Trying to get back on topic.
Did he lose a bet regarding the Rockets making the playoffs? If so, good riddance. Betting against the Rockets? LOSER!
Thanks - I appreciate that. The way their last couple of albums have been, I don't even buy it for a while and then there are only a few songs I'll ever want to hear again. If they finally really are back to form this time, then I will drop everything and get to the record store. I've been meaning to look for some reviews. Maybe I'll start a new thread for that one... And, speaking of the topic, I wish A-Train was here so I could discuss the new Cake album with him. Anyone else have this? I like the first song but the rest of it seemed completely forgettable, at least on first listen.
Cake was my favorite band in college, bar none. Motorcade of Generosity was excellent, Fashion Nugget didn't have a bad song on it, the next couple albums each had a few songs I liked among some mediocre filler. I'll probably pick up the new one just because, although my hopes aren't high.
