Yeah if there's no big swing to be had I agree 100% Incremental moves to improve the backcourt is the way forward. I'm actually not at all sold on Amen as a 1/2 guard, I think he's a 3/4 and will probably always have those offensive limitations (he's so much more primitive than Jalen it's insane, and look where that got us) despite being a defensive monster and likely always a lob/drive threat. I think we need to find those players by tailoring towards Alpi though, not Amen or Jalen or Bari or anybody else. Then we try and find the star at any position which complements that team structure. We also need an actual ****ing offensive game plan or we're dicked no matter who we have in all honesty.
blah blah blah It's not SMALL BALL IT'S HIT THE MF'IN' OPEN SHOT BALL In order to play small ball we still need shooters Very little shows me that our smalls who can shoot are incrementally better than bigs who can shoot Our Defense Suffers on Small ball Our Rebounding Suffers I think we need to work more on our Balance We can have a small backcourt with a large front court REED and FVV can play somewhat together if out front line is ALP - Jabari and Adams Rocket River
You're right, we really have to make the opponent feel us, feel our presence. We have to execute the game plan better and by that I mean the defense of course. We missed 1 out of 50 switches there and we just can't win that way. Also turnovers. Turnovers are a big killer, so we better stop passing the ball so much and just take what the defensive gives us.
