This…. Too many basketball illiterates got their expectations up and are struggling to come up with excuses.

Ime will need to improve but glaring issue is the roster just not being good enough. We are trying to evaluate what we currently have and this off season will be major.

The fact that you want Banchero or Cade shows you know nothing about roster building. Cade is ok, Banchero is sh*t.

You guys are wild. This dude took the worst team in the league and turned it into the 2 seed inside of two years. And he's done it with a core of guys who can barely legally drink and a few other guys that you all thought were over-rated and over-paid. I don't think there is a coach in the league doing more with less. It sucks to see the Rockets lose. It does. It hurts even. But I am still wildly optimistic about our future and think now is the time to be grateful for guys like Stone and Udoka who have done a masterful job at turning this franchise around in a record time.

Can't wait to see what moves we make in this offseason. Personally, I think Fred and Jalen are the weak links and that we have to improve our backcourt.

Ime will always get a pass with you guys. He needs to improve at least as much as his players. His offensive acumen is among the lowest in the league. It was his not to play Jabari, our hottest shooter, less than the putrid play of Jalen in 3 of 4 games and FVV’s putrid play in 3 of 4 games. His formula driven rotations suck. Unfortunately, when Stone re-signs FVV we will be hearing the same crap next year. You can do really well in the regular season playing great defense and running all your players into the ground.

The roster is good enough, and there are shooters on it, that suck on D, just like on GState, only Kerr plays guys that suck on D, because they can score.....

    Ime doesn't.

Part of the issue is, Kerr has luxury of Steph who will always command double so he can easily make up for some lost defense. In addition, Kerr has strong belief and natural ability on offensive side to create advantages. Imme is opposite. He does not have offensive creativity nor superstar talent on the roster. His experience as player was also on defensive side so he has tapped into that to create advantage. Imme has taken this roster in right direction but ultimately he needs to learn and grow from this as a coach. I am not confident that he will but we have to give some benefit of doubt for him and see what happens after couple of years. Stone will need to be clear about this in his post season evaluation for Imme to grow and hopefully we can bring in a good lead offensive assistant coach next year.

No it’s not…. Just because the great armchair talent evaluator DD wants it to be, doesn’t make it happen. You have to ASSume the roster is good enough because you can’t manage realistic expectations in the second season of us being competitive.

Kerr is an elite, dynastic coach who has potentially 3 HOF players on his roster being leaders and contributing…. I hate Curry but he is literally an all time great. It should be obvious that Kerr is a better coach.

However you just need to accept the roster isn’t good enough this season.

It’s really not even about offensive creativity…. It’s about players executing on the court.

Like the last play of the game wasn’t designed just for Sengun to take mid range…. He was most certainly given different options and he just decided to shoot.

The triple big lineup probably doesn’t count as creative to anyone, but aside from maybe the Magic no one else is playing like that.

Ime is the best coach this team has had since at least Adelman. I would support hiring an offensive assistant, similar to when we paired Biglydick with D'Antoni.

It doesnt make sense they are still playing great when Curry sitting on bench.

We just lost them without Jimmy.

    Ime is just outcoached.

    Ime doesnt agree this.

He always believes Fred is that guy.

Thats why he selected Fred over Harden.

People want to give him credit for overachieving as a 2nd seed (and overlook the end to the season and difference between us and the 8th seed), …..

but at the same time absolve him of blame when it comes to running 0 plays, short rotations when a guy like Kerr who has every reason to play geriatric championship players (but doesn’t and still is trying new strategy and guys constantly), is expected to lose any close game (again coaching not talent), can’t get a decent look for anybody outside of a timeout ina crucial game 4 (outside of a senguin skyhook seriously..)

they want to convince us that in the modern NBA a guy worse than JVG is a great coach

    So many contradictions

I think Ime has done a miraculous job turning this sinking ship around. I hope he retires a Rocket.

Over reactions! Everywhere. Look we knew what we were going into this. Young. I loathe GS and the crap the refs allow them to do. Also why I have essentially boycotted the NBA playoffs if we’re not in them. And while I hoped Fred and Dillon would be enough to get them through this experience, I can’t say I’m overly shocked or disappointed.

Ime has created a personal this team was missing. Our team is good, just young. Sucks if this is who takes us out but can’t say that I am “shocked”. 2 games at home, the second much better than the first. 2 games on the road, the second much better than the first. It’s not all gloom and doom.

Ime has some coaching chops. He took a basement team to overachieve into the 2nd seed in the competitive west, not every chump could do that.

But him picking fvv over harden, his inability to utilize all of his youngsters, our awful offense, make u question if he's a top tier coach.

Hopefully our front office, makes some moves to hide ime weaknesses as a hc. pretty sure if we find an actual pg it would make ime look like a much better hc. Fvv for 40 mins aint it

Everything is moot without the clear Alpha guy....if he can't direct and coach an Alpha, that is a big problem.

    • But the requirement is to get a superstar here first and then we shall see how he coaches.

    • Unless the plan was always to utilize him as a Culture setter and then replace him, in that case just pay him extra dollar......and then find another coach.
    • And nope Harden isn't it either, he gasses out in the Playoffs.

I see him as Mark Jackson with Golden State before Kerr came along. However, who is our Kerr out there?

Ime Udoka is under the most pressure, no wonder all these trade rumors for the last 2 years.

Even in Boston Jayson Tatum trade rumors every day until Ime Udoka left, the trade rumors stopped.

It is like Ime Udoka is secretly talking to reporters behind the scenes and creating trade rumors ever since he got here.

Ime Udoka needs to go and find Offensive Coach like Mike Dantoni (available)

Ime Udoka and Rafael Stone Chinese Zodiac is a Snake. Can't trust them behind the scenes, creating trade rumors distraction on the team.

    Many comparisons.

    Don Chaney - Rudy Tomjanovich
Jeff Van Gundy - Rick Adelman
Kevin McHale - JB Bickerstaff- Mike Dantoni
    Ime Udoka - ?

Same trend over and over Bad Defense Coach to a Offensive Genius.

Offense Coach works in the Playoffs compared to limited Defense only Coach.

Mike Dantoni - Western Conference Finals at least his offense system works. Just unfortunate with injuries to Chris Paul and Luc Richard Mbah Moute injuries hurt the Rockets.
