No offence, but I live in upstate NY and go to Canada quite often. All that I have encountered are the opposite of what you just stated. If you go to Quebec and speak any amount of French, they welcome you. I speak enough to get started and then they switch to English so as for me not to butcher their chosen language. The only things Canada hates are Trump and USA national hockey team. How can anyone hate on a country that Gave us RUSH and Triumph. Yes, I know they also gave us Bryan Adams and Loverboy.
