The only 2nd guesses I'd really do, is leave in Adams for Hack-A-Adams to put GS in free throw penalty & more foul trouble. I think GS still had a foul to give last quarter. Attack Draymond more after he came back in. And maybe do more to slow down Warriors run after halftime. The starting lineup doesnt seem to be working too well vs GS Past that, even with Jalen suckage, Rockets shot nearly 50/50 this game. Make the free throws and its a win. But Ime or this lineup construction is just not good on offense
last play should have been a shot for vanvleet or jabari, with alpy as the decoy. but udoka is utterly clueless so he opted for alpy to just drive in from the arc and attempt a spinning 15ft skyhook over the opposing team’s best defender smh
Personally I am happy Ime Udoka got exposed. So many players are secretly happy too. All the DNP to 7 players on the Roster is a Enemy Vibe by Ime Udoka.
Difference between the warriors and rockets. One decided to give the bag to an unproven, inconsistent player ahead of his contract year (JG) and the other decided to wait and see (Kuminga). Pure incompetence in the front office.
Ime isn’t going anywhere…the Rockets ultimately overachieved this year Stone needs to bring in shooters and upgrade the roster instead of always sitting on his hands “evaluating” the well known flaws of this roster have been exposed
Green Smith and Eason none of our young players were even able to hit more than 10 points this game. Thats more on coaching and our pg more than anything. Either all these players suck and cant be utilized or it's the coach and pg inability to maximize the team in playoffs.
I'm not sure a change in the starting lineup is in order. IMO, the difference should be yanking Jalen earlier, such as the 1st half, if he leaves his head and heart again in the locker room again. Ime's gotta forget about the process and pull out every stop to win one game at a time.
Rafael Stone and Ime Udoka failed in thinking Fred VanVleet is better than James Harden. Rafael Stone and Ime Udoka deserve the most blame.
Ain’t nobody getting fired after we overachieved all season. Goodness gracious. Some of y’all are so emotional and reactionary. How do you go through life like that? Must be exhausting.
Who? It can’t be Cam Whitmore you’re talking about. He’s a shot chucker, not a legit shooter. It can’t be Aaron Holiday who 99% of this board was hating on and trashing in every game thread during the regular season. 40 y/o Unc? Rookie Reed Sheppard?
Mahmoud Abdel Fattah I always thought would make a Great Head Coach. He moved to the Australian League to be a Head Coach. Mahmoud played uptempo Style at Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Players absolutely loved him. High Scoring Offense, Great X and O, great play calls in Time Outs. Won a Championship in Rio Grande, was a Rockets Assistant, sets up Team Practices. I really hope in the Future, Mahmoud comes back as Head Coach of the Rockets.
Let me start by saying I'm a big Udoka fan. Having said that, I'm pretty disappointed in him this series. The execution hasn't helped, if you can't hit free throws at a junior high level you don't deserve to win in the NBA. Jalen has been his usual inconsistent self, and that is extremely difficult to scheme around, but that's also part of my issue with Ime. He hasn't really tried to adjust. His stubborn refusal to use his superior depth in this series is mind boggling. When it's all said and done, this was a winnable series that was basically pissed away. Plenty of blame to go around, including the coaching.
I wonder what was he thinking when he pulled Sengun, and put Jabari at 5 with 8 minutes to go in the 3rd. Like you're witnessing Jabari-Sengun-Adams frontcourt is murdering the Warriors for 4 games now, and your solution to the bad start in the 3rd is going smaller? lol
He should prioritize the development of Cam Whitemore. He can become our Jalyen brown. Instead he put all the resource to develop Jalen Green. A player with celling of Jordan Clackson.
