You mean the guy who has scored (yes, I double-checked this) 22 points, 25 points, 29 points, and 43 points (average: 30 points) so far against the (go*-damned) Lakers? Ant-Man: As opposed to 7 pts (WTF?), 38 pts (yay!), and 9 pts (WT-double-F?). Jalen Green:
I know you joke but I do think there is something to this. Ime chooses his staff, and we have a shooting coach. Wasn't Ben Sullivan supposed to be the shot doctor? Why isn't it working?
Great analogy. No matter how good the ingredients are, if the chef doesn't know how to cook, the dish won't turn out well. I don't think this team will play significantly better even if we trade for Giannis. Any Udoka-led team is easy to stop, and he gets outcoached by anyone slightly better than mediocre. Kerr teaches him a lesson on how to get the most out of a roster, even with more limited talent.
Ime has his flaws but to suggest he has no desire or creativity on the offensive end is just ignorant fandom, In class CF fashion, a lot of yall just fall in love with our current players and come up with all kinds of coaching related or FVV related excuses. Im not sure what yall are seeing that makes you think this team can run consistently run an offense without FVV.
Thinking we have enough and actually having enough are two separate things. You can’t always turn your ingredients into chicken salad. There are no national media/analysts being critical of Ime in how the offense is performing. They are taking the position that we are too young and not ready. It’s really beyond me to see how Jalen and Sengun can consistently orchestrate an offense against GSW.
We won a game. It shows me we have enough BUT Things have to go correctly. I don't think it was luck I think simple things like FVV Playing less than 35 minutes Jabari Playing more than 25 minutes Keys sub or time out at the right time . . .. and we are winning this I'm not overly dogging IME or absolving Stone but I think we have the pieces to at least get out of the 1st round Rocket River
It’s taken massive Curry games for them to go up 2-1. I just don’t know what people are watching that makes them think players not named FVV can consistently run an offense.
It is not that Udoka is a problem. He has maximized the defensive potential of the team and for that he gets full credit. However, the main issue is that he has not done the same on the offensive side and for that criticism towards him is valid. Sure you can argue that we dont have efficient shooters etc but that does not mean that there is still untap potential there to get more out of the team on the offensive side of the game.
Lakers are playing Ant 1 on 1 - not blitzing and trapping him, and yes I’ve watched every game GS would guard him just like they are guarding JG - I will say Minn is better all around with McDaniels, Randle, Reid …Rudy just makes it harder to score around the rim (Bari is our closest rim protector)
