    QUESTION: What did you see on that last series and why wasn’t there a foul called on Tim Hardaway Jr.’s three-point attempt?

    GUTHRIE: During live play, it was judged that Josh Hart made a legal defensive play. After postgame review, we observed that Hart makes body contact that is more than marginal to Hardaway Jr. and a foul should have been called.

    Detroit had a ~94% chance of winning that game if that call had been made. Replay the last ~0.1 seconds and give Tim H his 3 free throws.

    why not just a call a foul and review it? In case it wasn’t, you can always just reverse it.

    I missed this game. What a refereeing tragedy to blow that call.

    Small props to Josh Hart for not even pretending prior to the post-game report it was a clean play.

    So I don't get it. What is the point of a the 2 minute report and appeals, if the NBA admits that they missed the last second call and they cannot start the game over from that point.

    If nothing can or won't be done about it, just get rid of the NBA team appeals process, last 2 minute report, and referee post game interviews.
