She is the judge, its her job to interpret the law. Regardless of what she said, these ****ers would hang out outside her court and arrest people regardless.

I'm sorry, its trump's job to absolve people or send them to remote prisons without due process.

Lets assume people are violent criminals with photoshop and heresay. Yea man, that's what the constitution, the founding fathers and how the rule of law has been interpreted for 300 years. The only law being respected is what trump wants. The supreme court and federal judges have made repeated rulings that Trump's gestapo has ignored over and over again. So please lets not act like the rule of law isn't being broken constantly by the modern day SS. These people are asaulting and kidnapping people without proper warrants so yes they are violent criminals as well.

ICE can't be a unilateral authority in every scenario. I'm losing a ton of respect for people I thought had legtimate points when Dems were doing their witchhunt. Unfortunately too many people are party first and about a specific candidate than principles

Do you remember the part we some of us continue to talk about victims rights? Imagine a far right winged **** bag beating one of your close family members, and some right winged activist judge just let him out the back door because they felt like he was getting a raw deal? The victims have rights too.

 

Imagine if you were not a pedo. Imagine how much the children you interact with would have their lives improved if you weren't.

What has happened is the myth of the strict originalist of the Constitution has been fully exposed. People like Clarence Thomas and Sam Alito cannot claim they are Originalists and strict followers of the original intent of the Framers and then openly push and support the gutting of the Constitution by Trump.

The argument that has been made by some conservatives for generations that they support controversial positions is because they support the original intent of the drafters. They cannot make that argument anymore - not those that supported Trump, so people like Thomas and Alito and Rubio and others are screwed going forward.

It also isn’t lost on me that the burning of the Constitution did not come from the liberal fringe like most expected, but came from the party that claimed to be traditionalists.

 

Unless you riot the capital and get convicted for felony assault on a police officer then you get a pardon....or if you committ securities fraud and defraud the public of billions of dollars then you get a pardon....or if you steal money from a police foundation to enrich yourself then you get a pardon.... i can go on and on

The question I have and that I usually have in situations like this is whether guys like Alito are getting high on their own supply - did they ever really believe their own line about originalism, and more so, do they still? In their heart-of-hearts do they not see themselves for what they really are? Or do they and has it been a line of bullshit from the beginning?

People tend to be really good at lying to themselves. It kind of stretches credulity here, but maybe not.

Yes I believe they are honorable and devoted - they likely focus on examples of where they view the left is or wants to undermine the Constitution.

Most bad or severely flawed people justify their actions internally and I am sure they do as well.

I don't think they realize the level of overt hypocrisy they exhibit.
