We basically got destroyed by Curry...that's the difference when you have a true superstar....Our young cores are all invisible today...
No reaction from anyone on the team when he levelled Brooks was pretty weak Someone needed to get in his face there, but no, we just let him go stick another 3
He made several key plays in 4th to increase lead that includes as a roller in P&R play, back door play and a 3. That was ultimately the difference as we could not stop those and our offense went frozen and we could not keep up :-(
These 4 defensive mistakes cost the Rockets the game. 3:42 left Payton didn't screen. He faked then immediately slipped. Tari was on ball defender and should have gone over Payton towards Curry with arms up. Fred needed to jump immediately towards Curry with arms up. No way Curry makes that pass. Or Fred needed to hug Payton and roll with him. Warriors Went up 1. Same play. Payton wide open. After Sengun missed 2 FT's Payton slipped again. Once again loose defense. Didn't pay attention to the slip. There was no screen or even attempt to screen. Fred was on ball defender. Just too loose. No need to necessarily trap. Warriors up 3. Amen helped on a play he should not have. This is Sengun's responsibility. He was late and Amen left a wide open Payton. They went Up 4 90-86 after the 3 pt Same play. Amen helped. Sengun late. Miscommunication/blown assignment. Payton was Bari's guy. He tried to jam Curry instead. No one picked up Payton. Warriors up 92-86 Same play. Wide open. These 4 plays in a row won the game for them. This was pivotal for them. Changed the game.
Offense sucked. Kept giving it to Fred and Brooks. Fred was too late in moving the ball in one set. For some reason instead of Green, Brooks decided to dribble drive into 3 defenders in the paint. Sengun held onto the ball too long one play then got stripped. Jalen missed a 3.
he was fantastic. similar to his play in their title run. ime's refusal to run small ball lineup is costing us dearly on the defensive end.
yeah im interested to see Bari at Center at some parts of the game switching out on Curry. I don’t like Amen stating at the 3 and he would be better leading that second unit. I would start Bari but also put him in a small ball unit to matchup with their lineup. I like Amen and Tari off the bench.
So they got rid of Rockets Killer Klay Thompson only for Rockets Killers Buddy and GP2 to pick up the slack
Ime's refusal to make any kind of adjustment is costing us dearly tbh. Kerr's flat out outcoaching him at this point.
all this preventable. Rockets had a sound game plan just didn’t execute last 6 min or so of the game. Missed defensive plays, poor FT shooting, and taking too long to get in their sets/too much fred lost us the game
everytime this guy gets the ball, you hear the announcers say he's not a shooter then he proceeds to hit a 3..
