are you really comparing the average player's consistently to #1 offensive option going from 7 pts to 38 to 9?
Draymond and GS works by having "bulletin board material". Even if they're the ones that instigated it. So Jalen might be giving them more pep with that comment. But if Jalen comes out dropping a 35-40 piece on them, can back it up. Maybe he is the one needing his beast unleashed
Oh all of a sudden Sengun isnt our best player and all star? Hes been terrible All of a sudden Fred isnt the highest paid, playing the most minutes. And "supposedely" our best player? Hes been terrible All of a sudden Amen isnt our dpoy superstar candidate? Hes been terrible The only reason we have won a game is because Jalen willed us to a victory. Period. This team has been getting routinely outclassed by gsw
CF calls out a lot of struggles, not sure how you're missing the other criticisms. Jalen's may be more obvious because he has a higher ceiling and more responsibility, but that of course means he has more to answer for when he pays poorly.
Played better than Alpi, Amen, Fred. Brooks was playing really well tonight sucks he was in foul trouble all night and ultimately fouled out. Probably par with Eason. Jabari was better in his minutes. Adams was better in his minutes.
If Jalen has a subpar game, why does it matter if he played "better" than other players that also had subpar games? It sounds like you have a favorite player and don't like him also being criticized.
Higher ceiling doesnt mean higher responsibility. Amen has the highest ceiling, the least blame. Alpi, is our best player and the weakest performer, less blame. Jalen is just hated and an enigmatic figure.
I see lots of blame in the game thread on the other players. They have one thing in common.... they all scored more than Jalen. On a nightly basis, he should be easily outscoring most of them. Do I think he's "most" to blame? Nah. They all screwed up in their own ways. Do I think he's LEAST to blame? Well, no. He wasn't very aggressive, and didn't make great use of the ball. Do I think he shares blame? Yes. He's not alone, but he's not above criticism simply because others also failed.
They also, shot more.. On a nightly basis, sure. But on a night when the opponents entire game plan is to prevent Jalen from taking shots? Nah.. not to blame Sengun had a 36 ts% tonight, as a post player talking all of his shots inside 10ft. Amen? 32 ts% all attempts near the rim.
Reminiscent of Chandler Parsons calling Draymond an irrelevant rookie Hope it turns out better than it did that time
I criticized Jalen after game 1, he was bad. Tonight he wasn't. He was gameplanned to be taken out of the game.
He was scheme and blitz we just need guys to hit shots. Hopefully ime makes adjustments and we watched film. They been exposing Amen weakness. Bari has to play more and get more attempts.
