Anyone blaming Jalen for this loss are idiots. They face guarded him 94ft and mirrored his minutes with gp3. Constantly blitzing and taking the ball out of his hands. He made the correct play all night moving off of the ball and the team let him down. There entire game plan was to force anyome but Jalen to beat them and it worked. Nobody could make a damn shot. Nor could they create offense. A damn shame.
Never in a million years will Jalen Green be the guy, he just doesn't have the skill or the mentality, he is a good secondary player who has scoring when others take the lead. Jalen's handle is just ok, not good enough to be a lead dog, hell, we need a creator on the ball so bad, someone that can consistently beat someone off the dribble....and shoot. DD
Jalen Green with 0 free throw attempts tells me everything I need to know. Green didn't even try to drive toward the rim or setup up Sengun and others by driving toward the rim.
Draymond basically calling Jalen sus and soft after the game and Jalen gonna come back and play like soft game 4.
Listening to Steve Kerr, they keyed on Jalen more tonight. It's his 1st Playoff series. The thing I want to see is how the adjust game to game. Everybody is blaming Jalen game to game but it's about the others; Sengun missed so many easy shots, FVV only scored 4pts after the 1st Qtr, and Brooks was in foul trouble, so they had to rely on Tari.
When you are dribbling at the halfcourt marker, and you are getting double teamed, you cant exactly "drive toward the rim or setup sengun". None of you cats even watch the game, just the results
I know you love him, but he doesn't need excuses, Jalen played poorly, he can move off the ball and get open if he want, he just doesn't have the right stuff to be a lead dog. Still a good player, but we need someone that is better than him leading us. DD
Havent seen the postgame interview yet but jt shoukd be obvious that was their gameplan. Guess i should give it a listne to atleast help my own sanity after having to read the cf board of imbeciles.
Actually, Jalen drove plenty of times. But he was being mirrored by Draymond who completely shut down his drives. He must have had 3-4 drives that were forced or blocked or just lost, he played back to his game 1 shenanigans, completely bone headed drives.
Jalen couldn't even get by ONE guy. Sometimes a single defender would press him 35-ft away from the basket and he could barely stay on his feet and keep control of the ball.
I don't believe in Jalen as a primary scoring option AT ALL....But to be fair.... When you have lineups with so many non shooters the paint is going to be packed. Especially when he himself is not a good shooter.
