They'll prop him up and embalm him like Lenin in his coffin in Red Square and Steven Miller and Steve Bannon will run a microphone to a speaker and periodically give pronouncements like The Great And Powerful Oz.

I agree he's too old. I also agree Dems get easily fished in with the trolling. In this case, they're also using it as motivation and fundraising because their other causes are mostly loathed in the polls or people have low confidence of greasy Schumer types fighting for them, let alone pulling it off.

The way I see it, Trump loves the attention from his master trolling, so even if he doesn't mean it at the time, he'll still play with it in order to get his name spoken by every muppet commentator chasing for ratings. This is the same guy who people claimed he wasn't serious about becoming president the first time and mostly ran with it to get a contract renewal or new TV show.

Plus, his decision making is all about risk taking and following through even if the planning is rushed or his vision was built on an insincere bed of lies.

He's always about testing limits. With his troll jobs, the botched takes are called "jokes". So even if he's 5% serious, the fact that he's still committing to "the joke" means it's a barometer for him to gauge how much he's still loved by his cult.

When you push these risks as bets, sometimes you might end up as a winner at the river as long as you don't fold early on. His story has had a lot of failures and also a lot of situations that ended up with him winning pots he never should've won.

He can still put up Don Jr as the 2028 Trump asshat for the lulz. The lulz won't be with him but at him.

I love how we only get to have Constitutional order if the Democratic Party picks a candidate of your liking. Otherwise, we deserve fascism.

The country is ok if there is one party with competent leaders. However when both parties go full r****d, yes, you should expect overall degradation in the country.
Its like you completely forgot Kamala Harris didn't win a single primary but yet you expect everything to be peachy perfect.

You're forgetting the GOP's favorite Constitutional provision: stop hitting yourself!

they can probably spin this as implying that whoever succeeds Trump will continue his legacy. the angle here might to be to characterize democrats as inactive, until a candidate announces on that side. i don't know if that's bait worth jumping at.

I do think that's a contrast that says something about the disintegration of America's moral core. For all of our obvious failings in the 1970s, we at least took abuse of power seriously. Now we can't find consensus on that, even. Do we stand a chance with a failure so basic?
