He is an accurate passer…when he has a clean pocket and time to throw. “There are really no clean pockets in the nfl.” - Bobby Slowik
Didn't Jerrah Jones try that a few times with some trade success? Aikman>Steve Walsh>Quincy Carter>Chad Hutchinson>Drew Henson All but Aikman were traded out or in
Value board is 124 to 128 and he gets Jaylin Smith. I trust Demeco to evaluate LBs who are all over the place based on the lists. At this point he has 41 points of draft value in this years picks and I think more 2026 pick value than any other team with the possible exception of a team with 2 Firsts. I'm a little disappointed we haven't spent more on OL, but it's not like everyone else is jumping in to get those on the lists.
The deviation from the popular lists at this point in the draft is getting extreme, So you have to trust him to get the players he wants because he might know the one other team he's competing with to get the player. But this is the area Middle rounds) where he has hit winners with a high average.
In our first three picks last night, we were probably in A or A- overall grade territory. With the Smith pick, I wasn’t a fan of the player but I trust DeMeco. What bugs me is moving up to get him at the cost of 142. I’d take off one point for the player but add one back for DeMeco’s proven eye, but take two off for giving up 142 to do it. I’d say we are currently in the B to B+ overall territory currently.
I was bummed we didn’t add more OL with 5 picks yesterday. However, Nick did hopefully solve the WR room and we won’t need to rely on Metchie and Hutchinson in a playoff game again
Nick thinks Ersery is enough along with what they already have on the Ol. The OL room is full. Nick with this draft basically said, we aren't going to get cut short come playoff time by injuries to the WR Corps/CB rooms. Those were really big issues last yr. If Ersery is good as we hope he's going to be then the OL with the other additions should be much better next season.
