Texans have a 1st round pick - Howard, 2 - 2nd round picks ( Scuggs/Fisher) in the room already. Just add another 2nd rounder. Then you have the Vets brought in. The scheme and coaching were the big issues.

    34. Jayden Higgins - Iowa State · WR
The Texans need more after Nico Collins at receiver, and they get a very similarly profiled prospect in Higgins. Like Collins, the physically blessed Higgins could be a later bloomer who really thrives a few years into his career.

    48. Aireontae Ersery - Minnesota · OT
Ersery played both tackle spots for the Gophers and could be a terrific right tackle in time if he can clean up his technique and land his punches with better timing and placement. This is pretty solid value in the mid-second round, as the tackle market is drying up quickly.

    79. Jaylin Noel - Iowa State · WR
The Texans bring in their second Cyclone receiver, as Iowa State teammates Jayden Higgins and Noel are reunited. And with Tank Dell sustaining another serious injury last season and Stefon Diggs gone, Noel can step into a playmaking void.

    97. Jaylin Smith - USC · CB
Smith is a lean-framed DB who's played throughout the secondary, but I think his best shot to make it is at nickel. The lack of length and mass do show up on the tape, and he has a history of injuries.

If Shedeur was white he would've been drafted by now

    Yeah he's overthinking it..

Drafting for scheme fit, drafting team culture setters counts as "team needs". Why is it averse to include "position" as a need?

Ok. What's done is done. I hope I'm wrong about Nick's draft performance and that the OL is much improved and that we have a great season. If that's the case I'll sing Nick's praises and eat my crow. Go Texans!

    LOL, no, he wouldn't have.

I guess people have forgotten what a piece of **** Shedeur is.

He was constantly throwing his teammates under the bus, blaming them for everything that went wrong. He threw his O line under the bus nearly every game, he threw his receivers under the bus when he threw interceptions, at one point he flat out walked out on his team with time left on the clock because they were going to lose.

AND he's not very talented. The best his team ever managed was being the 5th or 6th best team in what was left of the Big12 after every good team left.

Honestly I can't imagine any team wanting that kind of guy around to be their benchwarmer.

So we started with a 1st, 2, two (3rds), and we ended up with two (2nd), two (3rds) and 1 future 3rd?!?!

so in essence we traded a 1st for a 2nd and future 3rd. That’s so dumb. Owning the 5th yr option is worth more than what we got.

I think we could have gotten Conerly and Higgens if we hadn’t made a move.

It doesn't matter how many weapons CJ has if he's running for his life. We're going to have to put a panic room in the backfield

Supposedly not only did he bomb interviews but bombed the white board. High school QBs could do the white board. That's all effort and study prep work

He won't be running for his life if he recognizes the blitz, adjusts protection, and gets the ball out on time

Those are things that always get blamed on the line, that are his fault and the O coordinator's fault....and they were absolutely terrible at it this past season.

That's absurd. You're a clown. GMs don't care what color you are. Go away
