He can run again. He can win the popular vote. He can win the EC vote. But ultimately it's up to the ECs. They are sworn to uphold the constitution. I think I learned that in 2nd grade. Or maybe kindergarten. Either way, it's basic enough common sense for a Neanderthal to understand.
So . . . in an average day . .. . . about how much actual . . you know. . . GOVERNING does he do?? Maybe 30 to say 45 Minutes? Rocket River
He can do those things, but he cannot be elected President again according to the Constitution. I don't know how you're trying to get around that.
You are making your interpretation black and white dusted with your opinion. It can get very complicated quick. This is mostly due to Democrats not getting their **** together. Democrats best ticket right now is Tim waltz
DD called the poster a ****ing moron. It's an an expression that says he shouldn't be calling anyone that because the insult fits him perfectly. In other words , he's exactly what he called the poster. Worse if I'm being honest
He can't run for a 3rd term unless they change term limits. I don't see that happening. Nobody wants that psycho in office for 8 years when he's already almost 80 and acting like a crazy King.
I think what he's trying to say is that the laws are only as good as the people enforcing them. So, if everybody goes along with it, it won't matter what an old piece of paper says. It's the ultimate "constitutional crisis". If Trump did run, and did win, AND the electors went along with it.... The only thing stopping Trump from a 3rd term at that point are guns and bullets.
The last 15+ years of American politics has been this on repeat: Republicans: "We're gonna do X" Democrats: "They can't do that!" Republicans: *does it anyway* Democrats: *shocked pikachu face*
I think there are plenty of Republicans who would rather run themselves instead of voting to keep that crazy as*hole in for a third term.
As you continue down your road and where you are want to do, you make your own interpretation of what a "libertarian" is. So good on you. It's kind of sad yet fun to watch, though.
Wouldn't matter. Trump ran against the whole basket of deplorable and won without showing up. The collective stupid people rose up and took back their country. Our nation is being run by a cabal of con-men and frauds, chiropractors, religious lunatics, and P90X enthusiasts. I wouldn't trust any of them to dig a ditch for me, let alone run a government.
Buy some NFTs and **** coins, take this herbal supplement that has been clinically studied to not kill you, and pray to white supply side Jesus that the people who talk funny because English is their second language are deported back to the depths of hell they came from. And if prayer doesn't work, pray for the armed forces and law enforcement.
The politicians wouldn't do anything to stop him. It would literally be up to the voters and then the electors. After that, everything is up in the air. Complete dissolution on the table.
It's embarrassing that so many Americans voted for that old fraud, felon, and snake oil salesman. The sad part is that they are going to be poorer, have less civil rights, have less workers rights, have less government services, have less recourse against job harassment and discrimination, and be more vulnerable to sickness and diseases from more toxic waste, pollution, and chemicals in their air and water. Meanwhile, the billionaires will make more profits at their expense.
