My wife and I decided weeks ago to root for the Clips if/when the Rockets are eliminated, so yeah. Big fans of the Harden era. Edited to say that we're rooting for them now, too, before the Rockets are eliminated.
Most are just crappy firsts, they don’t have any premium assets outside of one mavs swap i believe. The 28 mavs swap, and they have denver picks in 27 and 29 but both top 5 protected so there is no upside.

Yes, I'm rooting for the Clippers after the Rockets. I want Harden to get a ring. I've always been a big fan of Kawhi and JVG on the coaching staff is a big plus to me too. I find them entertaining to watch compared to most other teams.
I'm surprised by the number of folks who have replied they are rooting for the Clippers. Other than love for our team and hatred for the Lakers, Jazz, Mavs and Warriors, Rockets fans have very diverse views about the NBA. I root HARD for all those teams against the warriors, the warriors are in a completely different class to me. I would even root for stockton and malone, who i had always thought were untouchable hatred wise, against the warriors.
Not finding any interviews with JVG since he joined the Clippers. Keeping a low profile. Always struck me as very humble and likable since he left the Rockets. Just want him to win the big one as a coach.
Ya i root just as hard for the lakers against the warriors as any other team against the warriors. The warriors are the absolute bottom of the barrel
I'm rooting for teams like the Clippers because they have a team concept that I just want to see win more. They have an old school feel to them that I like. I see now that they're clearly the better team against the Nuggets and think they have a good chance of upsetting the Thunder. I wish them and Harden well.
I think part of the reason Rockets fans would root for the Clippers is that them winning is on some level vindication of those Harden Rockets teams. If this past prime Harden can do well we definitely would have won a championship if not for injury or an insane superteam that could never be constructed under this CBA.
Absolutely. Harden is an all time great who elevates his teammates. Harden joins Sixers and Embid wins mvp. Now people are talking about Zubac for all nba...I am a big Harden fan. I also love JVG and I also think Kawhi is one of the best to ever lace them up. I am first and foremost rooting for the Rockets, but I really like that Clippers team
The fact they have Denver picks means Denver can tank if they take their package. OKC can give them Chet, their own picks back +5 extra picks and its a wrap.
