I feel we need to use some assets in a trade to get a better 2nd round pick for some of these players. I don't believe Ersery, Ratledge or some of the others will be around come 58. It will be a repeat of the First round unless the Texans move up for a player they want. Moving up from 58.

I should have explained my reasoning better in that post

It's similar to Houston in 2003 when we chose CJ at 2 to reduce the competition for pick 3 because of the QB premium. So I think they'll go QB first. But I wouldn't bet heavy on Sanders over Milroe. It is Cleveland.

Yeah I should say I didn't mean to call Dart Josh Allen, but he's more Allen than Shedeur is in their games. Even the talking heads are pointing to that aspect.

It's more style of game is really what the Schefters and others of the world are saying they're hearing from teams. If his name wasn't Sanders where he and his family expected him to be picked high, he'd fit perfectly as Detroit's backup because his game is so similar to Goff if they wanted a backup running the offense similar to the starter as opposed to being cut of a different cloth.

What'll be telling is where he goes. If he goes to Pittsburgh, it's just a signal of the pocket passer orientation they plan to use IMO. The Giants picking Dart says they were at least not sold on his style as well because Dart and Sanders weren't graded all that far from one another according to most in the league.

I want a move down to between 40 and 44 and a move up from 58 from 42 to 46 so we can get two of the best OL left.

If Cleveland passes, how about WE draft Shadeur and then demand a king's ransom for him?

If we move off of 34, maybe we should consider a player (too) instead of a pick? Maybe two birds with one stone which'd be nice. Give us a decent OL and I'll slide down plus take your 2nd/3rd that you're offering, thank you very much. Let's get creative.

It's a thought. Worse comes to worse, we can use him as a 3rd QB to replace Keenum. But better is to use him as a trade piece as soon as he signs.

Everything is an option if it moves us forward.

Hard pass. If he was in super high demand, someone would have drafted him already or someone would be willing to pay that ransom to move up tonight to draft him. What happens if you waste your top pick on a backup QB?

To me pick 34 is either draft Burden or trade back

no point in drafting Sanders and hoping you can unload him when we have big needs that we can take care of tonight.

Colorado State WR Tory Horton isn't getting much love but I think he's a great fit for us. He's over 6'2, weighs about 200 and ran a 4.41. He also has good elusiveness. He could be the deep-threat WR on the outside that we need.
