Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and disbanded in late 1980 after John Bonham's death in September 1980. Just a few more years than Brown's best years. Yes, the Stones have been around for a long time. Would using the number of years as the primary criteria - filter exclude the Beatles from the competition?
Pink Floyd- The aren't for everyone, but they have been the soundtrack to my life going on 30 years now.
is the question who is the GOAT? Or is the question who is your GOAT? GOAT I'd say The Beatles. From "Please, Please, Me" to "Let It Be" every album showcased a masterful evolution of rock music. My GOAT would be The Smiths. I know they're not for everyone, but for me every album speaks to me. Depeche Mode would be my second, and REM would not be far behind based mostly on those IRS years.
Do you really like the "love love me do" era of the Beatles? No, nobody does, it sucks. Same with the Beach Boys: Pet Sounds is a genius album, but thes rest is fru-fru 50's surferboy crap
Those aren't anagrams for Rush so I know you're lying. For me, it's close between The Avett Brothers and The Black Crowes.
Such an amazing song...until the end when they go into that terrible Liverpool chant Tough choices there but it'll likely be Avett Bros.
That's one of the best parts.... But soccer fan gonna soccer fan so I get it. Didn't know that was Liverpool, to be honest.
The thing about the Smiths for me is, there is absolutely no filler. I don’t think there is one bad or poorly written song. I always wonder what would have happened if they had another 2 or 3 albums in them.
Off topic but in this thread Jugdish and ima_drummer may have pulled off the greatest back2back avatars in clutchfan history
