NBC has the All-Star Game from next season on, which means thank god no more Kenny Smith, Shaq, Draymond etc, though still Reggie. I actually thought ESPN got it, so very happy to hear it could potentially be a bit better from a production standpoint. They are discussing moving it from 8 PM to 5 PM for the ASG itself, which would also be an improvement.

Keeping Reggie is terrible. Just get rid of the ASG

I wonder what they will do when the NFL adds another game in 3-4 years, pushing the Super Bowl back to Presidents Day weekend, which is the ultimate plan. Maybe the NBA ASG moves up to MLK weekend and includes the NBA tourney. Give the players an extra day or 2 off too.

Having the whole tournament and ASG spread out over 2 weeks makes way more sense than what they are doing now.

Surprised they showed Webber, but kudos I guess. You know, if they hadn’t hired Shaq, allowed Draymond on there and made a bit more sense in their basketball analysis, I would’ve been pissed with this development. But honestly, there was entertainment, but once Shaq came around any attempt to have a basketball conversation became an argument between him and Chuck / Kenny, “Stop it”, “28-15” and getting all in his feelings if they disagreed. Shaq ruined whole segments, so good riddance in that regard.

Hard to believe it's been 20 years I've been watching it on TNT and now it's gone. It's not completely over though...at least they'll be back next regular season on a different channel.

Pretty sure it's ESPN, they came to some type of partnership agreement. Same crew and location, different network...

TNT decided to do that... likely didn't matter to them since people were tuned in to the NFL draft

They got really lucky, 99% of people would’ve said Clippers Nuggets would likely be way more competitive.

TNT's "Inside the NBA" studio show will continue to air on ESPN and ABC starting next season, the 2025-26 NBA season. This is part of a settlement agreement between the NBA and Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company of TNT Sports, after the NBA's new media rights deal was finalized. While TNT will no longer be broadcasting NBA games, "Inside the NBA" will continue to be produced by TNT Sports and licensed for broadcast on ESPN and ABC during marquee events like the NBA Finals, playoffs, and Christmas Day game.

Charles Barkley dares ESPN to fire him: ‘Going to do what I want’

… “I’m not going to change my personality,” Barkley said during an episode of Outkick’s “Don’t @ Me with Dan Dakich”.

“Ain’t nobody — they can’t fire me. I make too much money to get fired. So, they can’t fire me. First of all, if they fire me, they got to pay me for seven years, and I’m going to quit way before then. But if they want to fire me, I would love for them to do that. The only decision we’ve been making is how long I’m going to work… I’m not worried about getting fired. And nobody at ESPN is going to tell me what to say or do. Period.”

ESPN will begin licensing “Inside The NBA” next season after TNT Sports lost its NBA broadcast rights. Barkley reportedly signed a 10-year, $210 million contract in 2022 to be an analyst on the best basketball pregame and postgame show.

But Barkley doesn’t sound like he is interested in doing appearances on “Get Up,” “First Take,” “SportsCenter” or any other ESPN programming once he joins.

Especially not if he is sharing the airwaves with ESPN’s NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins.

“I’m going to do what I want to do,” Barkley said. “Nobody’s going to tell me what to say, or what to do. I get upset. [ESPN] is like, ‘The Lakers are contenders.’ I’m like, ‘No, they’re not.’ They know they’re not contenders.

“Kendrick Perkins, who don’t know his ass from a hole in the wall, he’s like, ‘The Lakers are contenders. The Lakers are contenders.’ And I said, ‘They’re not contenders.’ And, clearly, if you lose in the first round [of the playoffs], you aren’t a contender.”

Barkley said he was going to retire after this season but is sticking around “to make sure the people I love and work with for the last 25 years (at TNT) got a job” after the network change.

“That’s one that’s been very interesting and frustrating for me; we actually have no idea how this is going to work,” Barkley said. The notion that I’m going to work more as I get older, that’s just not going to happen.”
