Anyone have a draft value calculator? Feels like two thirds for dropping nine spots is on par with a late 1st for 20 spots.
Six more players left before 34. Everyone just hope no o-linemen go the rest of the way, and we're sitting pretty tomorrow.
I wouldn’t mind if they did but I’d be surprised if they kept all of them. Trader Nick is gonna package them. 2-34 2-58 3-79 3-89 3-99
It's always tempting to get another first, but ATL should be competitive in a weak division next year and getting the #2 pick in RD2 could be another trade back candidate or allow us to get a guy that shouldn't have dropped--like Jihaad Campbell or Nick Emmanwori or Josh Conerly. I also wouldn't have wanted to give up one of our 3rds. But that's just my take, others may feel strongly about getting another 1st.
Remember all of the GMs have been saying the real value in this draft is rounds 2 & 3, where we now have a haul of picks. Patience people. And if we don’t like what we see….we trade back for more 2026 picks with so many options tomorrow now. Collins is still there along with other second tier OL. Harold Fannin is there as a TE weapon. Luther Burden is there, as is Higgins, Noel, and Bech. Imagine we leave tomorrow with Fannin, Higgins, and two OL. You’ll feel a lot better then.
The trade back maybe not that bad. Ersery will probably be the best tackle in the draft and the Texans will have a shot at him at 34. It sucks that Zabel, Booker, and Jackson were all selected before the Texans pick at 25.
We may have wasted our time tonight, but tomorrow - Texans 5 picks and 'Stros playing. Gonna be a good night!
