Ending top 5 in DPOY voting is pretty impressive considering he didn’t start until well into the season.
The fact that there is a big gap between Amen and the sixth guy has to bode well for first team all defense, right?
Good to get some recognition as around the league. This award is more narrative and media driven than others imo, Amen is developing a great reputation
In The Athletics' coaches poll, he came in tied for 7th. Somehow I thought he'd grade a bit higher with coaches :
Congratulations Evan, this validates his 3rd pick in that infamous Draft. Go, Lu Dort! Amen will be automatic very soon.
I'm hoping this series get Amen on to add a lot to his game this off season. He honestly switched from an maximizer in the positive to a maximizer in the negative.
Well he won’t be here next season if we get Giannis or another star. That’s who teams are going to want back ina trade. Can’t trade Jabari because he’s our best perimeter shooter. They’re not gointo want Green.
Amen a -17 tonight, the worst on the team by far. Bari was +6, second best on the team tonight. Which one is untouchable?
They both are. I believe in Amen, his shot already improved from year 1 and year 2, he's a bit of a unicorn, it really isn't his fault that his coach puts him in lineups with multiple brick layers, but I believe in his development and it would take a young all-star player like Paolo or something to get me to move off of him because I think Amen is going to be one of the best defensive players in the NBA for years to come. Bari is 21 and I've always been a fan of his game but its going to take an offensive gameplay to actually maximize his ability. I feel like if Harden was on this team Bari would be feasting on pick n pops and rolls so much it wouldn't be funny. Harden had Christian Wood looking like an NBA Most Improved Player.
