Was Morey the GM of the Nets too? Was he the GM of the Thunder when Harden had his first big disappearing act in the finals?

People like to die on hills of all kinds but dying on the hill of Hardens greatness in the playoffs is one I haven’t seen yet. More people die on the hill of the earth being flat or pigeons being government spy drones.

Lol keep painting the pretty picture of how doing the bare minimum as a pg is vital to our success.

Man is legit getting carried by a group of youngsters. In a thread where we had folks bashing harden lack of leadership, choking in playoffs.

    Wild.

Did you just compare over the hill Harden with prime Harden? And not yet a star Harden with prime Harden? And you believed you were making a point? Wow.

If the bare minimum is so easy then why isn't anyone else able to to do it on the roster in the playoffs?

I guess it's the difference between understanding timing and execution from watching the game on the coach vs someone who has a more box score approach.

Knowledgeable fans know FVV had a great game 2 and wasn't getting carried by the youngsters but setting them up to succeed. Coaching staff made the right adjustments and the right prep and FVV executed.

Jeezus christ. U must not understand the topic of this thread.

Probably should start a thread praising how vital fvv is to our team.

You should take your own advice..... I'm sure you can post in a thread to ignorantly dump on FVV without brining up Harden.

Fred did exactly what he was supposed to do in Game 2. Let the young guys take the shots, be an on-court leader, and keep the ball secure. He also gives the best entry passes to Sengun. We still need him to be out there for this team to play structured ball.

QUESTION: How much do you spend on FVV this off season?

Fred would have shot us out of it like in game 1 if he took any more shots

He has been a disaster this season

That's why he didn't. He only does when Jalen is not reliable.

I agree that he had a very bad scoring season. However, you can't deny that he brings stuff to the table that no one else from the team brings. Ime is not an idiot. There is a reason Fred keeps getting that many minutes. Neither Amen, Jalen, or Reed are capable of being a PG like he is at this stage of their careers.

He is probably worth $10M, the fact Ime and others think he is some sort of glue guy and they point to the teams W/L with and without him, he probably gets a premium that is closer to $20M for one year, may make it easier to trade for a star if hes got a higher salary too. 3/$45M is probably reasonable if they are giving him a few years, if its one year I think $20M.

Does Orlando have any meaningful cap space or the capability to be able to generate it? I could see them throwing a pretty decent bag at FVV because they are very desperate for something even resembling a PG

FVV is actually the most important factor for us these playoffs. If we can hold FVV under 10 shots we’ll win most games.

Imagine if we could have a good PG who can shoot....

We will be the best team.

Been saying it. The haters only remember Harden’s playoff lowlights. But the man averaged close to 30 points per game in the playoffs in Houston.

    FVV so far: 11 points 26.8 FG% 20.7 3PT% in 41 min. Embarrassing indeed.

Haha y’all have turned it into one. My premise still stands and if it wasn’t for him directing the offense, guys would just be lost. Harden under Ime is a better fit ironically because of the lack of an offense (system), but FVV was still the right choice.
