What a G for admitting he was caught off guard in game 1, not sulking and immediately coming back mentally stronger. This guy never ever quits and sometimes that results in really bad shooting nights but in the long run that quality is gold if you have the right culture around him.

Please don't expect him to keep up 30+ppg. He's neither the 7 nor the 38. He's not the second coming of Jesus nor Corey Brewer. He's the guy averaging 22 with good defense and low turnovers

They are going to throw everything at him next game so I'm expecting 22 points and 7-8 assists plus good defense.

I think next game they will test his ability to pass out of double teams.

Our first two core pieces, Jalen and Alpi, have now both arrived—and Jalen had his first true monster game against the Warriors. I have a feeling at least SOME of today will carry over into the next few games!

ah, yes. let's trade our young player who dropped near 40 and gave us our first playoff win in nearly 5 years.

There is zero doubt Jalen has this type game in him now it is time for Jalen to take the next step and play well consistently. I do not expect him to play at the same level he did last night every time but he should be able to play consistently at least at 75% of last night with masterpieces like last night sprinkled in while completely eliminating the crappy games like game 1. I love that he started off last night dishing out some dimes when he did not have a clean look at the basket. I think that helped get him going and I would love to see him do that rather than try to force something that is not there. We know you have it in you Jalen, just do it consistently.

The point was the word jater was being used way too sparingly.

I really did appreciate his honest and candid post game interview admitting that he had jitters game 1. Talked about being legs being shaky and being caught in the moment.

In todays NBA with so much PR training and non answers, its actually pleasant to hear someone be honest with some humility.

Anybody else notice that the more Jalen seems to playmake for others and distribute, the more his own lanes start to open up? It's been rubbished for years, but he has WAY more mismatches as a PG than a SG...(and Amen's going to be a mismatch anywhere we play him tbh)

I’ve been saying it all year, the Rockets play better when he’s the primary ball handler - he tends to make decisions faster when he brings it up the court - vs FVV taking a year to bring the ball up the court and now JG or Alpi have 11 seconds to try and create offense

Just a great game at all three levels for Jalen. Scoring game was on. Creating advantages for teammates and playmaking. Great defense.

Jalen Green doesn't sulk and get depressed after probably one of the worst playoff debuts you can have as a player. All our guys seem resilient. I'm sure his teammates are a great support system for him.

I've always thought he could be somewhat of a playmaker but I must admit, even as a big Jalen fan I never actually saw him as a potential proper PG until last game. He looked like a GOOD PG, not just a competent one. I wonder what would've happened if they'd have run him there instead of KPJ tbh.
