    Oh my the commitment...

They should make the oil labels more noticable for Walmart shoppers. I almost poured the electric version during an oil change. Woulda cost me a pretty penny.

Tesla specific oil is a scam -- you can use any any traditional brand.

Tesla U.S. Sales Plunge as G.M. and Others Make Gains

Tesla’s sales in the United States fell almost 9 percent in the first three months of the year even as the overall market for electric vehicles grew, according to data compiled by a research firm.

Car buyers are moving away from Teslas and toward models like General Motors’ Chevrolet Equinox electric vehicle, which starts at around $35,000 and can travel more than 300 miles on a charge, Cox Automotive, the research firm, said in a report.

Bringing in Elon has been the best government bailout of GM since Obama.

    Tesla's Head of Software Departs

According to insiders who spoke to Bloomberg, longtime Tesla software VP David Lau is departing the company after nearly 13 years.

Throughout his tenure at Tesla, Lau not only oversaw the electric vehicle company's "infotainment" systems and over-air updates, but also was one of the few C-suiters who would regularly appear with Musk at promotional events as, essentially, the face of its tech.

This is great! I can't tell you how many times I've had the need to crawl into a small, cramped single seater and drive upside down. This really solves a lot of problems.

Note to car maker: do not put cup holders in this thing.

Leased an I4 last week to get ahead of this tariff nonsense and lock in the EV credit. I only drove it from Houston to Austin, but I enjoyed it. Handles much better than my 2014 Model S did, but I suppose that is to be expected.

    The electric Escalade looks sick...

My inlaws have one and it's pretty freakin awesome. The new Escalade getting over 400 miles looks pretty appealing, too...but I'm not quite in that tax bracket yet.

My wife has the i4 and we love it. It's a 4-series BMW. Super comfortable and actually looks like a car...as opposed to the bland dentist office feel of the Tesla interior.

The Texas NEVI program (which is part of the federal program to expand EV fast charging station capacity by giving grants to help build them every 50 miles along designated interstate corridors that Biden passed in the infrastructure investment acts) has now opened 6 new stations with 2 more coming soon. 21 more are under construction. We already have many stations in the Texas Triangle, so these new ones are in the more wayward parts of the state where you might get range anxiety to venture in with your EV.

    Here is a map: https://ftp.txdot.gov/pub/txdot/get-involved/statewide/EV Charging Plan/Phase1/TX_NEVI_Map.pdf
