ClutchFans Game Thread: Warriors @ Rockets 4/23/2025 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 2)

Before the series I said we'd split in Houston then split in GS. Game 5 will be a bloodbath. Let's see if this holds true.

Tari set himself up pretty bad, frankly. He spewed trash talk against the Warriors but failed miserably to back it up with any meaningful action. Tari, you are not a great player yet. Save the bravado for later in your career when you’ve actually earned it. Prove your worth on the court first. Do none of our players have competent mentors guiding them?

 

If he (or Fred) have a good game, we win!

It needs to be Jalen tho, he needs to breakout.

 

It kinda makes me upset we're playing on Golden State's time. Start this game at 7 PM like almost literally every other non-Sunday home game this season. It doesn't even feel like a home game starting at 8:30. Maybe that's just me.

 

He said that before the playoffs started that Holiday plays well against GS yet he still didn’t play him when we really needed his shooting. I don’t believe anything he says until he actually does it.

 

You saw how bad the rockets were during that 6 game losing streak as well as the tough stretch that followed when Fred was out. The ship was righted when he came back. Fred is that important to this team….

 

I say… keep the ball out of curry’s hands and force the rest of them to beat us….

Yeah why should we have to conform to the Warriors fan schedules make them watch the games at 5pm pt

 

This narrative again? The Rockets were doing fine without Fred after the All-Star Break. They were 6-3 without him(he played in that Sacramento loss at home) before he returned full-time from the ankle injury.

They struggled during that 6-game losing streak prior to the break because they were without Jabari the whole time, Tari and Steven had to sit out games due to there being so many B2Bs, Alpi missed a few games too, and they played 8 of 9 on the road.

 

More Jabari and the stay ready crew.

 

We need Amen to get easy inside buckets. Make him live inside the paint.

No. Before Fred came back, we already got used to play without him. Rockets had a good run after that loss streak.

We are lack of good PG instead of Fred.

 

If Jalen shoots like 3/15 and, does nothing on defense, I see no reason we dont play Cam.

Cam wont be worse than that Jalen.
Be smarter on rotation, Ime!
