Brad Stevens coached the same Celtics roster to 5th offense where Udoka could only achieve 9th. The following season, Mazzula also eclipsed him by shipping out guys Udoka deemed critical to winning. And you're telling us MIKE D'ANTONI wouldn't know how to improve the offense when Udoka is not even better than Brad Stevens? MDA would also have this team running and he would f*ck you up if you took stupid shots like this roster constantly takes. He would have our athletic team RUNNING against the old team. If you want to say he wouldn't improve the team that's at least a sane argument. But to say MDA wouldn't know what to do offensively is ridiculous. The guy who has been whooping Udoka's a$$ in playoff series' was a student of MDA's offensive genius. MDA brought KD/Curry/Klay/Draymond/Kerr Warriors to their knees with just James Harden and Chris Paul - the Warriors being a team that had way more talent and wiped the floor with Lebron's Cavs. How come Udoka couldn't beat Kerr with the better-shooting team, more superstars and well experienced team in the Finals? Lost in 6 with HCA. This is just such an absurd statement. Stephen Silas had roughly the same TS% as Udoka's team with no veterans and no stars and all these kids much younger and rawer. We had a very bad first game but the Problem what i see is not that Fred shots bad. In my opinion Jalen Green is the main Problem. The reason is, that he cant play big games and he is not intelligent. He is a very atheltic and in no pressure Situations a Spectacular player but you will not win a championship with Jalen Green. I like to watch him play but he isnt a winner. If i where Ime i let any other player start for him. I know that a lot of Jalen Fans will attack me but they must give Sheppard much more minutes next season and how can Whitmore play 0 minutes in a game where the Rockets score 85 Points?!! Ime must take some player more into the Rotation. Holiday is a very good 3 Pointer maybe the best after Brooks but he get also 0 Minutes. I hope they player start to hit there shots in the second game. Its a very important game. If we lose the Series will be 90% over. We will see what the pressure does with the player.
the only problem I see is spacing Sengun has no space to work cause Fred and amen bari and brooks have poor spacing and streaky at best 3pt shooting
I don’t see Ime making adjustments this late in the year. He rarely makes adjustments that aren’t injury related. Like it or not FVV and Jalen have to hit shots or we are done. In the case of Jalen, he needs to get back at hitting the open man like he started to do before the foolish resting the last 3 games of the season. Having Green playing solo those 3 games was asinine.
Agreed 85 points is crazy in a league where teams are putting up 100 for fun Holiday, Reed and Cam combined can get 30 points in reasonable minutes
Offensively we need to play with confidence and stop being so timid, hesitant, and indecisive. One person who definitely doesn’t have that problem on offense is Cam. He should get some minutes tonight for a scoring punch off the bench.
