Why can't he start off at Guard? Most of the Tackles in this draft are projected to start off at Guard then move to Tackle in a year or two.

Even if he does beat out Cam. We should be happy he's ready to go right away at LT.

This would solve a lot of the OL issues.

Only if they trade down into the second round. There has to be value in taking a risk on what has been a career killer injury.

    1-25. Tyler Booker, G, Alabama

The first choice on the Texans’ draft board was offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr., who a source confirmed is well-liked by the team’s staff. And if he’s on the board at No. 25, I think the Texans take him.

2-39. Josh Conerly Jr., OT, Oregon — Mock trade: Texans send No. 58 and a 2026 second-round pick to the Chicago Bears for No. 39.

I’ve also heard the Texans like Conerly and likely wouldn’t have a problem taking him at No. 25 if the board fell that way. He’s considered one of the top offensive tackles in this draft class.

Ohio State’s Donovan Jackson is an option here, too.

One league source told me the Texans like Jackson, a Houston native, and have done a lot of research on him. He took a top-30 visit with the team just last week. He also previously played with Stroud. And I don’t think Houston would have a problem doubling down on guards.

But Jackson is viewed as a early second-round pick, while Conerly could go in the first. If both are on the board, it makes more sense to take Conerly.

    3-79. Alfred Collins, DT, Texas
4-89. Cameron Skattebo, RB, Arizona State
6-195. Mitchell Evans, TE, Notre Dame — Mock trade: Texans send No. 166 to Los Angeles Rams for Nos. 195 and 202.
    6-202. Tim Smith, DT, Alabama
7-236. Antwane Wells Jr., WR, Ole Miss
7-241. Dante Trader Jr., S, Maryland

Yeah, I would be really happy if Caserio drafted Conerly at 1-25 and Jackson fell to say 2-40 and Caserio traded 2-58 and a 2026 2nd for Jackson. That would be a great start at building a young talented ol.

I doubt it. Nick would be asking to get burned again. Nick better make good picks because if the OL is an abomination again his seat is going to get warm.

Bad mock. We need a quality receiver no later than the 3rd, not the 7th.

No way Nick goes anywhere; he would be snatched up so fast

Our football team won't be going anywhere either if Nick can't fix the OL.

That's pretty cool to see Donovan working out at his Alma mater, Episcopal High School in Houston.

I'd love to have Skattebo or Jaydon Blue.

Skataboo isn't a physical freak, but I watched a game last year think it was the Peach Bowl against UT.
He trucked some dudes. Ran for about a buck fifty.

He’s physically gifted, but more strength, balance and elite shiftiness.
    Not a burner.

    Hands are great too.

Blue has the traditional gifts. I would be fine with either in the 4th or later
