Wish we had him instead of Jalen. Cade is also bigger body and stronger. Allows him to do much more than what Jalen could ever do.
First off, I'm NOT excusing FVV in game 1, but Schroeder "settling" for that long 3 was what Fred did many times last night. Like the Rockets in game 1, the Pistons offense had turned into junk to the point anything going towards the basket was so contested that a TO seemed as likely as getting off a FGA. Even though they hadn't hit a 3 in forever, Schroeder played the percentages and was rewarded.
I feel like they have to make some type of adjustment of the rule, he pumpfakes and leans left or right or forward …. i think it has to be straight up and down to get the call
Totally agree, but the Knicks were also getting calls on flops where there wasn't any foul. I haven't followed them, but that is some of the most unpleasant "basketball" to watch I've seen for some time.
There were many times where Knicks players got hammered near the basket with no call, particularly Brunson. But the refs call perimeter on-ball plays totally different. It's been this way in the NBA for decades, particularly in the playoffs. Gotta learn to jump straight up and down. Pistons had 34 FTAs vs only 19 for the Knicks. There was no home cooking.
That 1st quarter showed absolutely nothing about who might win. Kawhi is locked in but most of his teammates aren't. They can't afford to give him much rest. Nuggets look very vulnerable to me.
