Reggie was my favorite non-Rocket of all time, and sadly I have to pretend he's a different person when he's broadcasting because it's that awful. I'm also starting to dislike Doug Collins. He talks in that same monotone voice the entire game, and HE NEVER STOPS TALKING. He rambles on and on. Kevin Harlan has to interrupt him every time a big play happens to get his call in. I was pissed last night in the first quarter when Artest drove in for that nice dunk, and instead of hearing any excitement you just heard Doug Collins rambling.

My thing with Reggie is that being on a national broadcast, you have to try to be a little neutral. Not show too much favoritism to one specific side. When he announces a game with a Cali opponent, especially Lakers or Warriors, you can hear the bias. Born in Riverside Cali and the player for UCLA. Everything seems to be in the PoV of the Cali team. Say if Lakers are behind, it's always less credit what the other team is doing well, instead giving solutions on how the LAL team can make a come back. Local team announcers I expect, but someone on a national broadcasting, have to hide that bias better.

I think he is annoying. But I think that what he says as a commentator is pretty reasonable. If it wasn't coming from Reggie Miller, I wouldn't mind the commentary.

I was watching old comets videos and Reggie was doing commentary for the WNBA back in the day. I thought that was interesting. i dont mind Reggie I think he loves to hype up plays in general he doesn't swing a In either direction (pause?) when the rockets were getting hoed by the GSW refs, he was yelling that fouls should be called.
Said this is not much of a rivalry since we never won a series and it was never close….uhm excuse you? 2018 ring a bell?
Reggie Miller is not good at his current job... but he was very good at his last one, which is why he got this loosely related one, unfortunately.
JVG is the only color commentator I can recall enjoying outside of the GOAT Calvin Murphy. Also, enjoyed, in small doses, Bill Walton. Seemed like a genuinely good dude even though he was a dirty hippy. A better discussion is who is the worst national color commentator. Like another poster said, Sean Elliot is the absolute worst overall. Doris Burke is up there. Makes me want to drink a warm glass of milk and do crossword puzzles instead of watching the game.
What bothers me about Reggie is that he was this ****-talking, killer on the basketball court, but this suburban dad behind the mic.
