lol, I don't even have to bring it up and already you recognize your cluelessness! This is hilarious, thanks for the laughs man, I'm having a blast. You are so easy to overcome, it's like having a debate with a 5 year old kid, I love it!
They wanted someone that was not going to be super hard on them, Van Gundy was someone the franchise was considering, but I think Harden did not want someone to challenge him. There were rumors of some players wanting a black coach given this was 2020 and the news cycle at the time. Harden was able to live by his own set of rules w the Rockets, but he was that good where it did not matter a ton. He was able to take private jets, stopping in Vegas and then meeting the team later instead of being on the team plane w them. In the 2020 pre season he was partying w lil baby and missing camp due to covid protocols requiring him to pass a certain number of negative tests. I think Gundy would not have tolerated this.
Oh, you weren't calling yourself a court jester? Since you never specified I was certain that's what you meant, very accurate portrayal of you, made absolute sense why you said it. Sorry, I assumed since you are such an absolute clown lol
It’s true that the rosters he had were much weaker compared to the 23/24 roster - where we got two decent veterans with Fred and Dillon, and got to draft Amen and Cam. So obviously, the ceiling of Silas’ teams was not much higher than actual achievements - no coach could carry the 2021-2023 rosters anywhere near the Play-in. With that said, in terms of basketball we really looked horrible. Silas was not necessarily a bad coach, but he wasn’t the man for the job to lead this team towards a playoff position.
i felt this quote telling: “…When he (Ime) started benching us, I think that’s when we knew it was serious and it’s not time to play around anymore,” Green said.
