Have we worn out our welcome with Minnesota already? I can't even seem to force a trade up to 24.

It feels like this is the kind of draft Cas moves around to get certain targets. With a new OC, he's probably got a few guys he really wants and like the CJ/WA draft, we may have to move heaven and earth to get 1-2 of those guys. We may also feel there is a solid group in the early 2nd and tradeback into early Rd2 to pick one of those guys.

Honestly, I won't be surprised if we don't take an OL in the 1st. Cas signed vets that can compete so he doesn't have to go purely for need. While Booker, Banks and Jackson seem to be the focus, I still think a guy like Zabel who can compete at C/G would be an ideal target if we go OL early. Personally, I don't think the Irv Smith signing negates a TE necessarily. Caley loves the position and we have no idea what he thinks of Schultz (who could be a sneaky trade candidate during the draft, with NO as a potential landing spot).

With that said, playmakers and speed are sorely needed and that may be the sweet spot we hit once or twice in our first 4 picks. Excited for this draft, just not sure how much I'll get to watch after Day 1.

Metchie is/was a bust pick. Avg at best and to think of the draft capital wasted on him. Missing out on guys like Trey McBride/Pickens etc... SMH a big whiff that Caserio is still trying to makeup for in the 2025 draft.

I'm hoping Booker is gone so Ryans and Caserio wont be able to pick him. Look at the history of Alabama OL in the NFL over the last 5 years.

I like Jackson much better than Booker. Better movement skills.

I'm thinking if one of Warren or Loveland falls they will be the pick at 1-25. Otherwise I would bet money on Booker salthough that wouldn't be my pick.

Why are you only going to be able to watch day one of the draft?

No offensive weapons fell to 25, and Zabel went at 24. I took Jackson at 25 and then traded into the second round with the Raiders using pick 58 and some 2026 assets. I accidentally closed the window before making the 79th pick; I was deciding between a TE and a CB. I tend to end my mocks with a RB unless I picked TreVeyon somewhere.

    • 25. Donovan Jackson OG Ohio State
    • 37. Josh Conerly Jr. OT Oregon
    • 68. Kyle Williams WR Washington State
    • 79. ?
    • 89. ?
    • 166.?

Is Dameon Pearce done? Is it possible that, in the new offense, that he might do well?

I think we need two guards, an OT, and two receivers. I just don't think that we should pick a RB unless it's in the 5th or 7th rounds.

That's what I'm thinking as well, Caley would love a stud TE. If one falls, Cas could move up, 19/TB feels about right. I’m not feeling Booker, but what do I know.

Unfortunately, I've got quintuple bypass surgery slated for Friday morning. Really screws up Draft, NBA Playoffs and Lance's potential return that night. Hoping ICU has coverage.

It's short-term help for this season. My hope is to draft an OT and two IOL that can be GOOD and start for us for the next decade.

While I agree with you, I can't pass up a value pick on the off chance Pierce just doesn't have it and Dare is now strictly Special Teams.
