OK! Alright! Are we having fun? Round 2 is live and needs your vote... maybe a comment and - if you're feeling particularly dangerous: a retweet. Here are the links:

Both CORNER INFIELDER polls can be found in the thread below:

And then because I'm a moron, I accidentally split the two PITCHERS match-ups; the first one is here:

    The other one is here:

These two are, if I do say so myself, pretty interesting - Ryan v Scott: two '86 teammates and Oswalt v Richard: does size matter?

We have a final four... Is it a good final four? Your mileage may vary. Nonetheless, please vote, if so inclined. As a quick reminder: this is officially binding and you must recognize the results so if you don't vote, you can;t complain.......

    Something old: Ryan v Bags
    Something new: Altuve v Springer

The Astros, who improved to a Major League-best 31-15, are only the third team in Major League history to have two winning streaks of at least 10 games before June 1 of a season, following the 1941 Cardinals and 1955 Dodgers. In franchise history, only the 1969 Astros won 10 games twice in a season.

This is an old thread, but I wanted some historical posts and thoughts included in my new adventure.

I am going to make my own personal All Time Astros rankings.

I think I will start with top 100 and then expand it.

As for methodology, I welcome suggestions from others but my initial ideas are:

    1. Start with the average of Astros career bWAR and fWAR for all players to get a baseline and adjust from there.
    2. Assign values for various awards and accomplishment and add/subtract from there.
    I'm thinking:
    1. +5 for MVP or CY Young
    2. +3 for ROY, top relief pitcher award (name changes), or W.S. MVP
    3. +2 for LCS MVP
    4. +1 for silver slugger or gold glove
    5. +1 for being on the team 10 years and +1 each additional season.
I am going to do 1962-2024, then will adjust it every off season until you all scream at me that I am boring and beg me to stop.
