Steve Nash and Chauncey Billups are the best examples of this.

T-Mac was an MVP candidate in his 4th year though.

Jimmy Butler was considered an elite defensive player in his 4th-year while putting up 20 ppg.

Neither of those guys are good examples.

I think Green is having roughly a Booker trajectory. Booker in his fourth year averaged 26 ppg on a 20 win team which is around what I'd assume Jalen would average on a bad team now.

I will bet you $5,000 dollars Green plays in an allstar game in his career. We both send money to Clutch. I

I'd be really surprised if he never makes an allstar team

Try if he makes more than 3 AS appearances.

Wiggins locks him up, dude is an underrated 2 way player. Wiggins is taller, stronger and also a freak athlete himself so he could keep up with Jalen's speed. Thankfully he is gone now.

Absolutely. He will make a few of them. I’d probably be willing to bet more.

I’m not entirely convinced some people watch the games. You could put yourself on camera on the clutch fans game chat and still be playing Minecraft.

Jalen Green us a better player than Herro and Lavine. he is a lesser shooter, but in a general sense superior in the other aspects. And he has the most runway in front of him to continue to improve.

I’m gonna go out on a limb and think this is the best season Tyler Herro will ever have.

Three things Jalen lack right now to be considered a serious all-star candidate, especially in the West.

    1. Scoring efficiency
    2. Assists or otherwise perception of passing prowess
    3. Defensive numbers or reputation of defense prowess

I think this is the last time we’ll be seeing Jalen in a rockets uniform. He should get traded in the offseason.

You’ve been consistently wrong about Jalen since the beginning: going so far as to call Cam a better player and saying he should take Jalen’s role.

    So, this checks out.

Wrong about what? He’s not that good. He’s been consistently inconsistent his entire career.

We’ve had four years to evaluate him. He’s probably never going to be an all star. If he doesn’t have a good playoff series, he will probably get traded in the offseason.

Herro was much better this season, but he's also been very mediocre every year before, he just had a massive efficiency spike this season. He's also a much better passer/creator so i don't think it's fair to say jalen is better than herro because he is not. You can say you think he will be, but you can't say he's better now.

He just led the team in scoring on a team that was designed to focus on defense that was the 2nd seed in the harder conference in the NBA. If he was on average to below average team he would have at least 4 more ppg and be around 15th highest scoring player in the nba and the 3rd highest SG (youngest of the 3)

Green has room for improvement of course and has done some of that this season. I'll just say people are wild. Looking around every corner to complain about something on a team that is thankfully making the playoffs for the first time in 5 years.

Keep going though talk about Cam is better. Green sucks. He will never make an all-star game. You can follow the team however you please.

it’s fair to summarize those points and point at them over the last four years. But if you look at the improvement that he has made defensively over the last two seasons, OR the fact that the shooting and the passing both showed large improvements the 2nd part of the year.

he was creating shots for others and hitting big shots when needed. FVV has earned the right to be the starting point guard for these playoffs and for us to lean on him a little bit to facilitate.

at being said it should be Jalen and Amen next year, unless some other stud is brought in.

The Thunder play by play analyst who sees SGA game in and game out in the middle of last game was like "Look Jalen Green will be a perennial all-star eventually".

    he is a better defender.

Herro handles the ball a whole lot more so all of the passing is inflated. Jalen has more physical abilities to get to the rim and distribute and we saw a massive improvements in that over the last 30 games.

I don’t even know if Tyler Herro has been a consistently available player. I can only say that Jalen Green has been and that counts for something.

Herro is the number one score on a team that struggled in the eastern conference.

None of that means he was better THIS SEASON than herro was, because he wasn't, and it wasn't practically close. I don't like herro at all, and this was the 1st season he was good, but it happened and you can't change what happened.

A major thing you are forgetting is the talent that surrounded both Jimmy and T-Mac. They didn't have the talent surrounding them that Jalen has.

They had the "GREEN LIGHT". Jalen has to play within the team concept. Player's numbers, stats can be skewed if given freedom to shoot
