ClutchFans Game Thread: Warriors @ Rockets 4/20/2025 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 1)

That end of the Grizz game was a mess but Warriors were definitely heavily favored for the first 47 minutes of the game. Every single time the Grizzlies threatened to take the lead, they got called for the softest calls to give the Warriors free throws. Grizzlies got in foul trouble 2-3 minutes into each quarter so the Warriors were in the bonus for the majority of the game. The last minute were just make up calls to skew the public perception and make things appear more "fair" to the general audience which worked.

 

It was fun reading through everyone's post! Definitely getting excited about this matchup.

I understand everyone's concerns about preferential treatment by the refs, but hopefully Ime's team is preparing our guys to keeping fighting and don't let the calls impact your focus, which is simply to crush GS souls (players, coaches, owners, fans, all of them *****).

This is likely going to be a war and I expect GS to employ "If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying hard approach." I'm especially glad with have vets with championship experience and playoff minutes ready to step up. The old guard versus the new upstarts should be an entertaining series.

Of course we get the late game on a Sunday night before everybody goes back to work in the morning.

I actually low-key think we could see some Uncle Jeff minutes if we make a run of this series. And I'm good with that, Unc stays ready.

There is nothing more satisfying than to lay an ass kicking to these Warriors. Our Aquaman needs to settle the scores with the Donkey for all those dirty groin kicks the Donkey dished out long ago. You know Donkey is trying to goat us into a fight. Take it to him first guys.

I have given this much thought since the Grizzlies Worriers game.

Pretty sure I would enjoy beating the Worriers in the playoffs as much if not more than winning the whole thing.

I COMPLETELY AGREE! I want the Rockets to beat GS so bad I can taste it. I want a sweep. A beat down. A series shut out. If that happens, everything else is icing on a cake.

 

I promise you, Kerr is going to send Draymond after Amen. Will try to provoke him and get him tossed. GS and Curry are afraid of Thomson. They will try to neutralize him.

 

Good thing we have Dillon.
