Food service is incredibly tough. I admire the toughness and earthbound normalness of these people much more than the blue blooded privileged folks I worked with at elite law firms. Those privileged rich people have no idea what it is like to work a truly sh-tty job, to go home exhausted day after day, working a dead end job for crap wages, with no easy pathway to something better.

Granted, I get that those privileges rich folks I’m talking about were born into their circumstances and it isn’t exactly their fault they never had to work crap jobs. But the lack of empathy is something within their control.

 

Trumpers want to focus on each individual complaint and make them minor or target the guy behind the issue as being unworthy of the fuss. What the democrats and anti-Trump coalition are objecting to though is not any individual issue, it's the overall abuse of power that is escalating.

 

Upholding the rule of law is important to these values... and this guy was here illegally. That's really the end of the argument. But if you want to go further, he's a gang member with a truly awful criminal record (beating his wife).

Trump is literally issuing edicts from his personal social network and they’re being acted upon despite him not having been granted the authority. Or he is completely ignoring any attempts to be curtailed (eg ignoring the courts) He is a dictator in the purest sense.

 

This is the paradox - 8 million foreigners came into the country during the Biden administration. All they had to do was claim asylum.

How does any government properly vet 8 million people? The biden administrations solution was to give them an id and let them go freely - zero back ground checks. Obviously this was a very very very bad policy and Americans hated it. So much they re-elected Trump.

So how do you process 8 million people AND protect the well being of the US citizens? Why is it that people believe the rights of foreigners is more important than the welfare of its citizens?

This isn't a blame game. Obviously the Biden administration ****ed up. How does an administration fix the problem?
But instead of trying to fix the problem or come up with solutions, the same supporters of this bad policy reshift to fringe cases like Garcia.

Do you think known foreign criminals should roam the street because the courts are too packed to process them all? How do we fix this problem? The world is full of idiots who are eager to point out the problems but rarely life a finger to help.

I don’t think there are more than 20 million illegals in this country and that’s the very high end. Despite the record crossings, we’ve also had record deportations as well. If there are 20 million illegals in this country, what’s the urgency to suspend due process when we don’t even high crime? When we need jobs to be filled that the natives have refused to do?

Instead of giving some vague answer about 10s of millions, how many do you think there are?

Where is all this high crime to show for it? Crime keeps dropping.

I see a wide variety of estimates of how many illegal immigrants are in the country. None less than 10.

The rationale behind suspending due process is that normal judicial processes could not adequately cope with the prosecution of 10s of millions of persons for their violation(s) of federal law.

 

There is no mass pandemonium with illegal immigrants running amok…. No major crime sprees….

Guess what… folks who want to stay here after arriving don’t commit crimes at the same rate as their native counterparts.

Immigrants are some of the few remaining supporters of local economies. They actually shop at local storefronts. Amazon has already drained local economies and funneled that profit to the 1%. NOW the immigrants will be gone, instead working FOR Amazon (FOR FREE in SALVADOR prisons). Lulz.
