US-borned doctor receives email from immigration officials telling her to leave the country immediately

Lisa Anderson, a physician from Cromwell, Connecticut, recently received a letter from the Department of Homeland Security telling her,
“It is time for you to leave the United States." Andersen said "I don't have anything to do with immigration."

Anderson has been carrying her U.S. passport on her at all times since receiving the email and is seeking an immigration attorney.

“It does make me concerned there’re a lot more people out there like me who probably also thought this was spam, who probably didn’t realize, ‘I have a problem,’” she said

    Several days before,

Massachusetts resident Nicole Micheroni, an immigration attorney. received an email from the federal government telling her to leave the country,
    she was baffled.

“At first I thought it was for a client, but I looked really closely and the only name on the email was mine,” said Micheroni.
“So it said my parole status had been terminated and I should leave the country within seven days.”

But the 40-year-old is a U.S. citizen, born in Newton and raised in Sharon.

This “Lisa Anderson” character, if that’s her real name. Could she possibly be a gang member? Does she have tattoos? Does she have a rap sheet? Is she a Democrat?

DHS tells US citizen and immigration advocate from California to leave country

Aldo Martinez received an email April 11 from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), telling him to leave the country or he would be removed. It read:

Martinez is a representative accredited by the Department of Justice to provide immigration legal services and was part of the organization Al Otro Lado,
conducting workshops teaching immigrants to represent themselves in immigration court and helping them fill out asylum applications.

Martinez said he was also part of several lawsuits against the first
Trump administration four years ago, “Lawsuits to stop the limitations that they were putting on immigrants seeking asylum in the US"

President Donald Trump said in a memorandum on March 22 that he would seek sanctions against attorneys for what he called "misconduct" in immigration cases: "Accountability is especially important when misconduct by lawyers and law firms threatens our national security, homeland security, public safety or election integrity."
