The Slim Reaper, hopefully not harvesting the Rockets.

After GSW, he has not been having much success.

KD on this squad is a title contender. He is still an unstoppable bucket. Don’t need him to do that much in the regular season. Space the floor, close games in the fourth quarter. I think he still has 2 strong years left. On this team, he would be rejuvenated.

Giannis is the only on this list worth getting. Zion and Ja are always injured, Booker is overpaid.

We have a possible 15 yr window ans you want a 2 yr window of contention? lol

Winning a ring is not guaranteed especially with an old injury prone KD. You gonna gamble on 2 yrs and if we fail we just set ourselves back.

Look at OKC they were first seed last year and they got eliminated early last year in the playoffs. Instead of making win now they trades they were a lot more patient and trusted their young core.

oh don’t get me wrong. I’m not interested in paying a kings ransom for two years of KD. I’m assuming he can force the
Suns hand, and we pay some reasonable price, like cam smith, a PHX pick, and maybe Tari Eason. I love Tari but he can’t stay healthy and we can make do without him. I want to keep the vast majority of our draft stockpile to have currency to make roster improvements and keep the window open for a long time.

I haven’t done the math to figure out how salaries would work and who would need to go. But yeah, I’m not into sacrificing our long window completely,

You are acting like we will be trading all of our young stars for KD.

Kd is coming for FVV, cam, and their pick back.

    Its not disrupting anything.

Signing Kevin Durant might be a smaller blessing in disguise as that with him you can sort out the players that are not championship worthy.....

There is only downside if he costs too much.

Like with the Suns and Brooklyn.

Tbh I prefer holding out for Giannis. You know thats only a matter of time maybe even this offseason with Lillard having blood clots and his coach is doc rivers

The NBA is a star league but hard pass on KD. We don’t need him. He would cost too much. We have home grown stars and draft capital - we own the Suns picks unprotected and they’re gonna be trash minus Booker. Leave it alone.

The Rockets can’t trade the 25 pick until after the draft, unless they get a 26 pick from somewhere before the draft. We definitely have a chance, but we will have to pick up FVV’s team option and trade one of the 27 or 29 picks in your scenario. Phoenix may find that to be the best offer, but I think the Knicks, Spurs, or Minnesota will find a way to better it. If the Spurs want him they have all the assets necessary. FVV is a good fit, because they could flip him or just release him after next year which would go a long way towards solving their salary issues. KD also wants a 2 year extension and that should take us out of consideration since it makes re-signing some of our young guys much more difficult. If we get spanked by GSW in the playoffs, I bet we make a better offer. If we beat GSW, I think we back off.

I would be so incredibly disappointed if ANY of our core pieces went out to bring in ancient ass Kevin Durant. 10 years ago? Hell yeah. But not now.

We have a good thing going. Please don't **** it up...

100% right, if you have to trade FVV - and a pick or two, fine, but not one of our core 7 needs to be in that trade.

Well, 2 years are not nothing in sports though.

At the end of the 2 year deal Durant would be as old as Jeff Green now.

He has recovered well but there is no denying he had major injuries and major surgeries.

Giannis' rebounding and defense alone would be a great addition to the squad. Even though not a fan for his game but I'm all for it!

There is zero chance any core pieces would go out in a trade for KD.

Y’all are way overestimating the return KD is going to fetch. He basically can pick where he wants to go, only has a year left and is 36 years old. No one is trading valuable young talent for KD.

Look what the Warriors gave up for Butler. Wiggins and a protected first. I would imagine FVV, Cam, and one of their first round picks back would be enough. Maybe you give them this year and 2027 back and they give us one of the first round picks they have from other teams. That’s at most.
