I liked it when Ron was here. He would've taken us to the next level if Yao and Tmac were 100%, and that's with the messed up cap situation Les imposed and bargain bin finds Morey was throwing in. Had a bad rep, owed up to it, never disrespected the team or its fanbase, went on clutchfans. He left for more money and to play with Kobe, but it wasn't like Les was throwing dump trucks of cash at him to beg him to stay.
Don’t hate any of them but the one I lost respect for the most is Harden. Basically quit 2 weeks into a season
Ron did more for us tha ppl like to give him credit for. First of all, he was happy to come here. He called Mac out for not playing defense. lol He carried us a lot, even if they were wild shots. He was supposed to be a supporting star, but for a good amount of games put up some pretty decent numbers. He also had us with a different swagger. Yao was even more dominant.
franchise? ralph? harden? tmac? ehh i guess i can see it with him odd choices i'll go with royce white. all that bs about mental health only to end up some far right grifter. nasty nasty guy. also, something about luther head always pissed me off. no real reason to dislike the guy but i did lol
The weird thing with this poll is that other than the late late addition Pippen, I don't hate anyone else on here. It's pretty hard for anyone to personally hate a stranger who's only connection to you is that they are essentially actors for an entertainment product you consume. You can say they did a good job or a bad job, but that's different from hating them. I mean, I have more negative emotions for KPJ than all the players on the list (other than Pippen).
I don't hate any of them, and tbh Pippen was on an aging squad with very low chances of contending. If I had to pick one player to dislike as a player, it's T-Mac. Choker, visibly quit on the team. I'll go to my grave contending we would have been better off keeping Francis and Mobley with Yao.
I don't hate him at all, actually liked him, but what the LOF's did to this site was pathetic!! The same OF's mentality still lingers to this day!! That mentality was never part of this site prior to him and his cronies invading this form. It used to be the Rockets this and the Rockets that now it's Player X this and Player X that... Go Rockets!!! ....... ....... .......
The first OFs were YOF. But they were not quite as nasty as the LOFs. And a lot of them don't know English very well.
Pippen was never a Rocket. Not in my world, was he. Harden evoked more irrational BS, thus my ‘choice’.
A lot of people say this but I contend he wasn’t. When I think of most hated I’m thinking of guys who fans spend countless of hours hating on. Thousands of posts and thread expressing why they think this player sucks. Constant calls for trade or benching. Pippen didn’t get this treatment. People were upset at how his tenure ended at the time but in terms of constantly dragging his name into negative and highly critical discussions, articles, threads that just didn’t happen.
Thats your bias and assumption as I said nothing about that. Why would anything backfire? This was simply a poll with the choices given. I did not include the Calvin Murphy or Moses years. Does this invalidate the poll? Do you know anything about those years? That’s why there’s an other option. If you don’t agree then don’t vote. Pretty simple. I did not follow Rockets basketball until the Francis era. It has been documented that Rockets fans love to hate. I have seen this since the Francis years. They love to place blame on certain players while giving a pass to others. The poll was meant to generate discussion and get fan opinions and views on the topic.
Ron only left after it was announced Yao was done for the season (and effectively his career), he was a great Rocket. Unlike TMac who backed the Lakers when the Rockets were still in a series against them … After he got surgery without telling anyone, preventing him from getting traded for Vince Carter. Yao, Artest, Carter, Scola, Shane, AB, Lowry, Landry, Von, Chuck would have beaten the Lakers.
