Dubon should certainly be traded this offseason if not non-tendered, he’ll be in line for $6M-$8M and he is not worth that at all, not when a guy like Guillorme can give 90%+ of his production for <$1.5M.
Good game last night, Pena is having a great year, Jake is raking and what do you know, Cam Smith has an arm on him and is getting more and more comfortable at the MLB level. Hunter was on point last night, between him and Framber they are 1 and 1A................Abreau made me nervous although I thought I heard them say Scott was coming in and I almost had a meltdown, so there's that. One exciting inning in the 6th and the rest was MEH...........but I will take it, now can we please get a back-to-back win, early game today so lets get it
Sounds like a Myles Straw situation... if we can get a solid reliever and a first baseman of the future... that would be great.
Idk about the steroids piece of it, but Cora is notorious for picking up things (legally and/or illegally) which I'm sure benefits a hitter, especially one of Breggy's ilk. He's amazing when he can just focus on a zone and beat a pitcher to his spot.
Nothing like benching your most powerful hitter (who homered last night) on an offense that struggles.
