Plus there were 4-5 guys on this list that were very good players that weren't circled in red.

Would you use a 7th round pick for him?

For all of the potential fears regarding Tyler Booker, he's probably better than any guard we have by a mile.

I did mock drafts tonight on 4 simulators. Colston Loveland was available on PFF and DraftBuzz but NOT on ESPN and PFN.

What's the bottom line gents? Here are my thoughts.

I believe that CJ can be a top-5 QB in the league with savvy play-calling, offensive weapons, and at least an average NFL OL.

Last year CJ was overwhelmed with pressure due to, at least in part, horrid pass protection and, after injuries to Diggs and Dell, a lack of weapons.

Right now we are short TWO receivers, a starter and a quality 4th receiver to spell the others when injured. Also, after trading Tunsil we likely have the WORST line in the league in spite of the patchwork of players we've acquired. Cleary, we need to find at least TWO dudes that can immediately step in and play well!

Although I would love to have Walter Nolan or Colston Loveland, we gotta fix our OL as best we can through the draft before CJ gets snapped in half.

So here is what I'd like to see us do. Two great guards, two WR that should elevate the WR room and then a few flyers in the later rounds. Here's what I've got:

I like this but the TE position is a very important part of the OL and although the Texans haven't had a TE weapon since OD, a TE can be the extra weapon the offense has been missing it addition to a WR. I like this mock and if it fell this way I would pick a raw Thornton over a raw Williams.

    https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/62...ck-draft-2025-full-seven-rounds-dane-brugler/

    25. Houston Texans: Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss

Another true wild card in this draft class, Nolen could be snatched up in the top 15 by a team such as the 49ers or Cowboys … or he could fall to the mid-20s, where the Texans would be ready to bet on his high-impact upside as an interior disruptor.

Don’t think there’s any way Jags go Jeanty.

Yep! They need DL or OL help first and foremost.

I like these two as projects as well.

I would also add Hollin Pierce to this. Even though he's not as athletic as the ones you mentioned, he had a 83.5 pass blocking grade and 79.5 run blocking grade in 2024. Now, that is PFF so not sure how much we can take out of that. But at 6'8 341LBS, it will be very hard to get around those 36'' arms. I see him as a 5th or 6th rounder. He could be a good swing tackle as he has a ton of experience.

He has a ton of experience:
918 snaps at LT in 2024
777 snaps at LT in 2023
750 snaps at RT in 2022

I miss alot on players in the 5th and beyond . I do like Logan Brown and Jack Nelson more though.

    Love Trapillo

Williams has many more than one highlight play.

I may be wrong here, but there's no way we pass on Banks to draft Nolen.... and then allow the Ravens nab him a couple picks later???

    Oh Heck No!
