This could backfire if we lose 4-0 but nothing today worried me. Griz were terrible and still had a chance at OT. GSW are smart executing if close but we in theory match up well with them.
I'm worried. Outside of a herculean effort by Amen to shut down Curry in one game this team has really struggled with this team.
The Grizzlies had 3 "playoff games" at the end of the season and last all of them: At home to the T-Wolves where Ant went MJ on them On the road at Denver where they controlled most of the game but the Nuggets closed it on a 14-1 run that was amazing Tonight at Golden State where they had chances but weren't up to the task. Blowing that out-of-bounds possession at the end is unforgiveable. If they advance over the Mavs/Kings, OKC will have an easy time beating this disjointed team.
Bring it on! I would rather have the team face off against a playoff veteran team and duke it out. Would be a win-win no matter what. If we lose, then we get that much needed experience against a playoff veteran team. If we win, then it will be an amazing morale boost and we could definitely beat the whoever comes out of the 2nd round
GS got so much trash surrounding Steph and Butler…seriously, they play a lot of bums they just have our number, but on paper, that roster ain’t sh*t and has a ton of weaknesses ready to be exploited
Welp. Not liking the Rockets chances. The Warriors aren't your typical 7 seed team. Even with FVV, Brooks, and Adams this team is still young with little or no playoffs experience. The Warriors have the stars and refs advantage.
@ashleyem called the 6-game losing streak and called the Rockets playing the Warriors. Just need him to call a Rockets first round victory and we should be good
We aint locked up in there with them They locked up in there with us We the two seed Mothertruckers. Lets run those motherfukn old hags off the court. Shock and awe
I have zero idea who the really Jalen Green is but this is his first look at the playoffs he better show out consistently.
Some of it is refs, some of it is Curry being good, but I do feel like a lot of it was mental--our young squad never really played well against them. But this season, we finally got over the hump and brought it to the old Warriors damn near every time. I think this time our guys will be ready. They need to get over this fading Warriors team sooner or later, and it would be absolutely cathartic if they pull it off.
